Retail-exclusives are exclusive to that store. But those are just livery versions of cars already in the game anyhow. You’re only missing out on a paintjob.

If you’re really worried about it, pre order at gamestop and redeem the code and return the game unopened the next day.

Or hunt ebay for codes after release.

I wouldn’t suggest that other method… since trading digital codes for cash is well… not a good idea. I don’t mean to mini mod… but, I just don’t want to see bad advice getting put out there :slight_smile:

Retailer bonus DLC cars are for purchasing disc editions from those specific retailers.

In previous games unique pre-order and VIP models were later offered as purchasable DLC, but the special livery cars (Day One, BMW Design etc) were not, so my guess is that these pre-order cars, being duplicate models to regular roster cars but with special liveries applied, will not be offered for separate sale. If they are, I’ll include that info in the DLC thread stickied at the top of the forum.

I must just ask. Does anyone know what the difference between the “2015 Dodge TF Hellcat” and the “2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Battletoads Edition” is?

Just reading throw the car list and noticed all the cars offered as retailer Pre-order exclusives all have “Team Forza” equivalents, ie; “2015 Subaru Team Forza WRX STI” & “2015 Subaru WRX STI”. does that mean the cars in the game just with a forza livery even without the pre-order? Also what’s the deal with the 10 year anniversary pack, is it only available with the digital version (which is $20 more)? no local retails have any mention of it?

So I know the rest of you early birds are already enjoying the game.

But I pre ordered my copy for pick up at GameStop in store.

I know it’s been said that you get the Hellcat as a BONUS.

But I’m looking at the GameStop website and it says you also get the following for preordering:

The Forza Motorsport 6 Anniversary Edition includes Forza Motorsport 6 and the Ten Year Anniversary Car Pack, which features 10 specially tuned and liveried cars, including the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia, the 2014 Lamborghini Hurácan and the 2013 McLaren P1.

Best Buy 2015 BMW Not showing up for me
My Xbox shows that it has been downloaded and installed after entering the code however it is not in any of the cars lists. When i go to BMW there isnt even a single 2015 available.

so is the best buy preorder car just not working?

It is a 2014 and should be on the far left - there is a FREE and RECOMMENDED manufacturer before you get to ABARTH.

So I had to buy 4 copies of Forza 6 for gifts (in addition to my own download). I figured, hey why not spread my orders out over multiple retailers to see how they all handle the retailer specific pre-order bonuses. I went for it.
I’m in Canada. I pre-ordered from EB Games, Best Buy, Amazon, and the Microsoft Store. I am happy to report that three of those four handled the bonus perfect. Codes arrived by email on game shipments. One is a total failure! Any guesses who the failure is? The Microsoft Store. Received nothing. Nothing with the package or anything ever emailed. I’ve called in to the MS store support line and that is certainly a painful experience. The people you talk to do not even understand what a download code is. I’m not even sure they know what an Xbox is! It is actually quite hilarious how opposite of helpful the MS store is being.

Anyway, i’ll certainly give up rather than waste my time. Just figured it’d be good for people to know.

And T10 and MS, don’t really expect you to read this but maybe in the future you don’t bother having the Microsoft Store involved in Microsoft promotions like pre-order bonuses. They don’t appear to be able to figure out how it works.

The code should be on their website, in your order details. My M4 code was there when I ordered the controller.

Was there a preorder bonus car for downloading from Xbox live? I thought it was a miata. I dont remember downloading that.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I did just check that out and found nothing. I’d thought maybe under ‘Digital Content’ too but nothing there either.

Are the bonus cars the same cars that are available to buy in the game, you just get them for free and they have special paint jobs and tunes?

Could you post pictures of the Bonus Cars and what they look like if they do have special paint jobs?

Just an update to my earlier post: this morning i did receive the missing code from the MS Store in my email inbox. So either they were just slow to get them out or someone did do something about it.

Mine showed up about in my e-mail 3 days after the game shipped. I was told that it can take up to 10 days after a pre-order ships for Microsoft to e-mail out the redeem codes for bonus items.
