The demo worked but the full game not start at all.
I deleted the demo before I downloaded the full game.
Will there be a fix for this?
Try these first 4 methods described in my document, these are the safe methods, there are more methods but they are more risky.
- Method : The Troubleshooter for Windows Apps
- Method : Resetting the Apps through Windows Settings
- Method : Turning Firewall On for all Profiles through Command Prompt (Admin)
- Method : Check your Xbox-Services
1 : check if all your Xbox-Services are enabled and that you didn’t uninstall any Xbox-Apps.
Right click start button “Run” and type “services.msc” , scroll down and check if they are either on “manual” or automatic", it should not be “disabled”
2 : you can try this , open Powershell as Administrator and type the following to reinstall Xbox-packages
Quote:
Get-AppxPackage Xbox | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
For Windows Store problems try this.
Quote:
Get-AppxPackage Store | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
3 : Still not working? then i need a little more information to help you out, what error are you getting, are you just crashing to desktop without any message? in that case check your event log viewer.
Right click start button “Run” and type “Eventvwr.msc” (press enter) … then on the left side look at “Windows Logs” → “Application” or “System” . you should see Forza7.exe (or whatever the exe file is called) in there somewhere.
If FM7 is in there, click on it and look below at the “Faulting module” or a “Exception code”.
It says:
- EventData
AppId Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe!forzamotorsport7
ErrorCode -2144927141
I did try everything but nothing helps. As I say, the demo worked fine but not the full PC game.
So thats it? Wasted money and time or will there be a patch?
I will give you a bunch of things to try, please try them one by one, if all of this doesn’t work, reinstall your Windows10 clean.
Let me know how it goes, we need to find a solution for this “splash screen” problem.
I found this as a “possible” solution , if you have Windows 10 N edition or KN edition, you need to install this.

In that case it’s best to reinstall Windows10 clean, i know it’s the last thing you want, but alot of people had success with this method (including myself).
Often when something is corrupted in Windows10 related to that whole “App” thing. since FM7 / Xbox-components / Windows Store are all “App”-related. It’s very difficult to repair this.
Additionally you could try to upgrade to the latest windows-insider preview. that might repair things while keeping your data intact.
Reinstalling/Resetting Windows and choosing to “keep data” might work, but it might also delete applications.
But what I dont understand is why the demo was fine but the full game not. The demo should use the the same apps, system etc. no?
I downloaded the demo again only for test and the demo works fine. So the conclusion must be there is no problem with the PC but with the game.
Maybe something is wrong then with your installation of the full game, you can either try a fix that i told you, or just wait for patch.
Solved. For some reason the game needed more than 210gb free space on the HDD before it would download, install and work.
Thanks for helping with this guys!
Marking as resolved!
i had this problem too in FH4, solved by Disabling “Application Detections Level” in RivaTunner from MSI Afterburner…
PT: Tambem tive esse problema e consegui resolver por desactivar “Application Detections Level” no RivaTunner que veio com o MSI Afterburner…
