[ANSWERED] Wont Start At All, Windows 10.

Hello,

Plus One for someone who is suffering from the game not starting AT ALL on Windows 10. I get about 1 second of a dialog window, then nothing.

I’ve tried launching through the Xbox app and all sorts, but nothing. Mercifully I can play on my Xbox for now, but I’d much rather be playing on my PC.

I’ve tried a few things in the forums but if anyone has any obivos wins, that’d be great.

Thanks.

Same issue here. I get about 1 second of the splash screen and the game shuts off. I’ve been playing the game for two weeks straight with no issue. Nothing in event viewer, and no explanation. Just updated to the windows creators fall update, but the game worked fine after that for two days. All of a sudden thing with no apparent cause as of yet. I tried checking rights issues, but found nothing there. I will post if a fix becomes apparent.

People are suggesting to remove FM7 DLC (VIP, driver gear, driver pack for example) and redownload that DLC again. Should fix it from not starting, worst case scenario is downloading the whole game again. Basically i removed the vip dlc (its around 22MB or so) and downloaded it again and it did start up. However you might have to do it every time you start, i had to…so i just downloaded the whole game again and now it pretty much works as it should (as far as that goes in its current state <3).

Try resetting the Xbox app. There was an update to the Xbox glass thingy, which kinda screwed things up. Resetting the app worked for me (when uninstalling the add-ons and resetting/uninstalling the game didn’t work).

I had this one last night after the 1709 update. I tried all the suggestions but only uninstalling and downloading it again fixed it.

Finally found the problem with FM7 not starting. I would get a 1 second splash screen and then nothing (Some of the time).
It was one of my audio drivers. I have an NVIDIA 1080ti OC video card, and one of my audio drivers “NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)” was disabled when correcting my system settings after the Creators Fall Update.
Apparently, the game went to that driver and with no workaround and no error message, simply exiting on the launch.
Enabled in Device Manager, and it is Working like a charm now.

HI all here’s the solution to Forza not starting on windows 10,
just go to the store sign in go to hoonigan dlc page and there it will say play press this and then it will start re downloading the dlc it must keep deleting it or something like this because as soon as it has finished the small download then just run the game as usual all done let me know if it worked ok for you thanks GHOST.
