This is a tough problem that I have scratched my head at for a couple of days.
A little bit of background first.
Very recently I suffered a very major HDD failure. Disk is completely unrecoverable as the plates have shattered into many pieces due to the heads jamming. Forza 7 was on this drive.
So I bought 2 new HDDs and running them in Raid0 very nicely.
Now here comes the problem. Microsoft store still thinks I have Forza 7 installed. Yet its not there as the HHD is in electronic heaven. I cannot uninstall the program as its simply not there and I do not have any options to uninstall, neither via add/remove programs or the Microsoft store. Yet I cannot get the game to download nor install the game as it thinks I have it installed as I have the play option. When I do press play all I get is a black box and on the window frame I have
@{Microst.ApolloBaseGame)1.107.5368.2_x64__8wekyb3d8we?me-resouce://Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame/Resoiurces/Tittle}
That is literally all I have.
Did all those gents and had no success with any of those.
Tried help from MS and they too were stumped.
Turns out my windows install was just as much to blame. Apparently I managed to completely break windows. I managed to get an upgrade (Win7 - 10) not an actual install of windows to work. Don’t ask as I don’t know either and was running with no users. Shouldn’t be technically possible but I did it.
