Replay save limit

I enjoy saving and viewing my single player race replays and saved dozens of them in forza 4. Iv’e notice that there’s is a limit on how many single player replays you can save on forza 5. I think the limit is around 10 or so. When you try to save more replays it tells you to delete one of your saves. What is the purpose of a save limit?? The replays are saved to the hard drive so it should be up to the player how many replays he or she wants to save. Is there a way around the replay save limit? Is there a options setting I don’t know about? Any info would help.

The only workaround would be to record them using the Game DVR feature and edit them in the Upload studio to share with OneDrive. Then, you can leave them there for online access or download them to your computer.

Hi,

i confirm that the limit is 10 replays.
I write to Turn 10 via email and in the game wishlist thread to ask if is possible to remove this block…in the previous Forza is possible to save infinite replays…i hope that in the next update T10 reintroduce this feature in Forza 5 too.
The possibility to save the replays of the races i think that will be infinite and not only to 10!

Many Thanks,
V12 StevenX.

Hi guys nice quick simple one for some of you guys I hope?
Is it that you can only save so many replays I have 8 saved and now it’s asking me to overwrite files? I love watching replays. Is there anyway to save more then 8 files?
Thanks.

Yes I think 8 or 10 is the most you can have, but you could also record with the DVR and if your any good at making clips on the upload app you could create all you best bits to multiple clips and save more replays that way.

Ahh I was hoping you wasn’t going to say that. No never tried messing around with that but it’s something to have ago with. Thanks for the prompted response anyway

It’s ten total replays, which is a shame. I’m really not sure why there’s the limitation, especially such a small one. You can make videos of replays, of course, but replays are interactive so you can skip around to follow different cars at different times during the replay and can view from different camera angles. You can also take pictures of moments during the replay. A video is just there as-is.

Does anyone know how long of a replay I can take cause we did a 50 lap race full simulation and it just cut out on there it doesn’t say how long it is and why did they put a length cap ???

Hi ASQUAR3D,

We have the same problem. We are going through a 19 race Formula 1 championship with 50 laps per race and the 4 races we’ve had so far cut at between 30 and 35 minutes.

I found in another thread of this forum and even consulted this with people from Spain that also do championships and both confirmed that replays are limited to around 30 minutes each, maybe a minute or two more.

I absolutely HATE this limitation along with the amount of replays you can have simultaneously saved. I never had Forza 4, but everyone I’ve talked to that had Forza 4 has said it had no limitations on the amount or replay’s saved or length of each replay. I can’t confirm this because as I said, I never had Forza 4 though.

I hope Turn10 get’s these two limits off. Maybe just a warning that you’re running out of disk space so you can delete replays of ANY game, not just Forza 5…

BTW, someone mentioned a wishlist for future Forza 5 features? Where is it? So I can add a vote?

Is there any way to GameDVR a replay? It always gives a sorry can’t record that error message.

When that happens, completely shut down your console by holding the Xbox One’s power button (not the controller’s) until it turns off. Then, reboot. Of course, you can DVR the replay; but, you are likely to get the same error message. So, just do the aforementioned steps and us know if you still have issues.

This save limit “feature” is getting really annoying. Just like you only have a few for replays, you also only have maximum 300 for liveries, and 400 for vinyl groups. As it stands now, I need to delete a livery I’d prefer to keep for every new one I want to make. I hope they change these limits for FH2 and FM6.

+1, this limitation makes absolute no sense at all. From a developer’s perspective, it’s more work to reduce enjoyment. From a player’s perspective, it’s a useless and senseless limitation. From a publisher’s perspective it’s all bad because it’s money wasted on making the game worse.

This is absolutely a serious problem and needs to be addressed.
