I don’t think that’s a bug, they just don’t let you record longer durations.

I presumely wouldn’t call 40 minutes very long for a race, which in my eyes make it a bug.
Now if it was like a 2 hours race then I get that.
I know it take space, which is why they limited people to so many saves.
Other sim racing games or some simcades such as GT7 (I include Forza Motorsport as a simcade) games, allow you to record nearly any length or reply. With PC games you can save anything as long as you have the disk space on your PC.
So I don’t see why Forza Motorsport can’t, do it either. Save full race a replay, as a replay system is mean to do and not 23 mins and 37 seconds.
When you have racing such as TORA that is 30 minutes long in Forza Motorsport, it a bug.
Also considering Microsoft own Azure Cloud Service, space isn’t an issue.

Yes, they should definitely let us record longer races, on Xbox I get why it would be limited, but for PC it just doesn’t make sense that there is even a limit. They should also let us decide if we want to store it locally on PC or in-game in the cloud.
But as I said, it’s not a bug, it’s just really dumb.

I think we will have to agree to disagree if it a bug or not.
In my opinion it a bug, along with some/most of the the groups that run private events.

Has to be a bug! No developer decided it should be 22 mins and 37 secs
On top of that the length varies depending on how many cars are on the grid!
As others have said! PC users should be able to download the replay direct to PC!
Azure cloud servers should easily have enough space!
