"Removing" of Cars.

Why on earth is there no feature to sell your cars? I just removed one of my lamborghinis and i got NOTHING! Whats the point of having a feature to get rid of owned vehicles and then get nothing in return? Whoever thought of removing the ability to sell your cars must have either been wasted out of thier mind or they must have a severe mental disorder.

Just a disclaimer, yes that was the first time ive every removed one of my cars and checked to see a difference in my credit total. So does anyone know why this feature is gone?

It’s not like you are gonna need the credits if the selling feature was there. The earn rates for credits are really high, and it’s easy to buy pretty much anything. Therefore, I think that is why this feature wasn’t in Forza 5.

You earn a crazy amount of credits in this game no need to get money back from getting rid of cars. Do a few laps on the ‘Ring’ and you’ll be all sweet again blokey.

The word ‘Remove’ is not the word ‘Sell’. Common sense, you also could have searched for a confirmation before doing it, to see if you do get money.

because the garage icon didn’t use to be in the “buy cars” menu so alot of people accidentally bought duplicates. it was a continence to get them out of the way and reduce clutter to scroll thru every time you wanted to pick a different car. credits are easy to earn. if you play alot you’ll be stacking up credits with nothing to spend them on soon enough. you haven;t lost anything you aren’t going to get back in the long run. alot of us have millions of credits racked up with nothing to spend them on. running out of stuff to buy, not running out of credits is the long term result for everyone. you’ll get that car back eventually and still have credits you cant spend.

Originally the Forza 5 economy was designed to promote rarity in more expensive cars by having fairly small payouts for races, not having an auction house, et cetera. Essentially, the idea was that if players made less money, fewer could buy the most expensive cars, and therefore there would be a compulsion to play the game more to acquire high-end vehicles, and so on. Not being able to sell cars back was part of this, along with the removal of car clubs.

However, most people also noted that while the game’s payouts were a little lower than earlier games, FM5 was also offering (arguably) over-priced tokens, which put the values of certain cars over $100 real-world, US dollars.

Naturally, everyone jumped on that (and, some may say, rightfully so) and complained. So in about a month Turn 10 changed the economy by drastically reducing vehicle prices and upping credit payouts, making everything much cheaper and forcing tokens to be irrelevant.

So the inability to sell cars back is a relic from that system, and has not been changed to address the other modifications that have been made. Though I’m not exactly sure how they would handle that.

I think the remove feature is useful to reduce garage clutter. For example, I had already that BMW we just got as a VIP car so now with the VIP gift I had two of them. So thanks to the remove car feature I now only have the VIP one.

But the OP’s point was that, in previous games, you could remove the extra car and be compensated for it.

I’ve never had issues finding a car, even with 550 cars. There’s more than enough for duplicates too.

You could do that in previous Forza games, and be compensated.

Hey, selling your unwanted cars back to the game is an unpopular feature from the previous FM titles that you don’t need in FM5. Don’t complain about it either. It attracts the trolls.

What? Attracts the trolls?

What is going on here?

I believe it is sarcasm.

Ahh, thank god.

They removed the selling option because of glitchs and hacks. There only two ways to get CR. Payouts and T-10 giftting.
