Realistic (Somewhat) F1 Tunes

Hey guys…

I’m trying to make some realistic F1 tunes for the Renault R.S.17 for the entire F1 grid. The Renault is far too fast compared to it’s real life counterpart in race pace, so I’m attempting to match the car as close as possible to the grid. So what I’ve done is take speed trap data for Q2, tried to match gear ratios from Q3, lap times from the race, brake bias etc. The tunes are being constructed primarily for wheel users but they’ve been tested with controllers too.

The first tune I’ve done is Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes W08 Hybrid for Circuit de Catalunya… Criticism and feedback is of course always welcome however if you test in out, please tell me or screenshot what time you managed to do so I ca take that into consideration. The tunes will constantly be getting updated. Have a nice day guys!

NOTE: All tunes were used running…
ABS off
TSC off
Friction Assist off
Simulation Steering
STM off
Manual
Simulation Damage
Braking Line Off

I recomend running 280 to 360 degrees of rotation for wheel users.

UPDATE
Update to the Mercedes W08 Hybrid (Catalunya) tune…

  • Tweaked gear ratios to be more realistic. This included adjusting all gears including the final drive.
  • Adjusted braking bias forward and reduced braking pressure.
  • Decresed rear toe in.
  • Matched top speed to the real life equivelant as seen in Q3 (322.7 KPH).
