Yeah, these guys are way too proud of their dynamic weather effects. They need to tone it down. Very annoying when every seasonal event features rain-slicked roads and mud bogs.

On average it rains in the UK for 156.2 days per year (data from 1981 to 2010)

On average cars cannot wallride 90 degrees corner going 250 km/h…

I was going to say, its the uk so sounds legit to me.

For free roam, I find balanced, but for racing it has been too much of late. Especially when it is something like classic racers… In a torrential downpour.

Dont worry though. Community team listens to feedback. Rain you say? Will add more for sure!

I live in England, I didn’t notice…lol.

I thought it was just me.

They should just allow us to control weather and time of day. Sometimes I have a half an hour to play and don’t want to do it in a nighttime thunderstorm.

You can if you blueprint your races
Even in private multiplayer as well

I must be lucky since i dont get a lot of rain

Does it need to be this accurate when nothing else is?

They honestly could have put game play before accurate weather since its supposed to be a car game and not a weather simulator.

Hopefully next release is somewhere with nice weather - having said that in FH3 it always rained it the Australian Outback, which is where I live and it does not rain here very much at all… It even rained inside buildings and in tunnels.

They may just be obsessed with their rain effects - yes we have seen your rain effects, yes its good, now please turn it off most of the time.

It doesn’t always rain in Britain. Sometimes we get a bit of snow.

But its a wet snow

Horizons 5. Will be in Canada. They add survival mechanics. Summer deal with scorching heat. Fall now will have wind simulation blowing you off the road. Winter, real cold snkw, slick roads and stuck in ditches then waiting for drivertars in tow trucks. Spring is just winter, but with fall winds.

Could be worse. Could be complaining for a legitimate sake. But there is a point. I have been kinda feeling that the events have been biased a bit too much to wet weather of late. Specially summer. Would be nice to have events more to take advantage of roadsters.

For free roam, I dont notice much.

The rain and water effects are decent in this game but they are nowhere near as good as those in Driveclub.

Speaking of water, has anyone noticed a downgrade in the quality of simulation of droplets on the windshield in comparison to FH3 and FM6? They looked a lot nicer and also behave more realistic in those games.

Here is a comparison.

Why doeseveryone hate tge rain so much? All of you exploit courses require heavy rain to give you the easy win right?
I’m not a big fan of the rain, but that is tge main reason almost all of my cars sit on rally tires. I really love the rain on dirt tracks when everyone is on racing tires, great entertainment. I’ve made tgis sugfections hundreds of times, learn how to drive and learn the difference in tire compound.

I didn’t buy this game with the intent of playing an accurate England simulator. Besides, the roads in the UK aren’t really snow and ice 25% of the year, are they? The in-climate is a nice way to add variety, but it seems like it has become too much of the norm.

We don’t get much snow, lots of rain, and wind. It does look realistic though. It’s great if you actually live in England, or the UK. I think Scotland, and Wales probably get a bit more snow than England. They are colder, because of all the open land.

For me, rain is just a graphical effect. It barely affects driving, if at all.
