Racing for beginners/newbies!

Hey

I’m looking to get some people together who are having trouble racing in public races… Maybe we can do some weekly races?

After a while we can too be competitive

Hello D Silvaru

Not a bad idea. I’m not very familiar with online-racing and the few starts i’ve had, it’s a win for me if i make it to the finish line.

How would this work in practise? Would you be organizing the races? Would there be restrictions for entering or open for all? What about cars: Stock or tuning, freedom to choose or same for everyone?

Why don’t you write down your ideas and we’ll see if there’s interest to the consept.

There are weekly races in here put on by Big Time Muscle. Doesn’t matter driver skill, everyone gets prize credits and a prize car.

Just to add to this. A lot of the guys in these weekly races are more than happy to help others get better. This has helped me a lot and all you have to do is ask. Also you dont have to worry about the tune because it is provided, give it a shot what do you have to lose.

Might be a real need for this, but perhaps you guys should also consider joining one or more of the current series’ available like those of Big Time Muscle and others, but join as a more junior class within their series with a separate place system - like a B class racing with the more advanced racers - like in real racing. That will keep the racing within one big family of racers and help the more junior racers to learn from the more advanced guys.

Happy racing

This sounds like a great idea but the main reason I was looking for drivers within my skill level was I’d like to be competitive while racing. I’m finding it extremely difficult keeping up with most of the players in the forza 4 community (the competition in horizon was cake compared to motorsports)
I’ll tty out some big time muscle events but if any"noons" would liker to race 1vs1 sent me a FR
HOWEVER… I doubt I’ll get any better if I don’t try to race with some of the best.

Sorry, I apparently must have been typing while you were posting your reply. Not trying to hijack your thread I swear. I understand your reasons for wanting to do your own thing so hopefully that goes well and like I said the open invite still stands. Good Luck in any Racing you do!

We at BIGTIME MUSCLE are always welcoming newcomers to our events so if any of our events sound interesting to you feel free to send a message and Friend Request to the appropriate Event Host. Just search the Racers Lounge and look for the ones that start out with BIGTIME MUSCLE [88bg]. Everyone who participates is awarded Prize Credits and Prize Cars (custom designs only available through our events). We welcome all skill levels, Bad Driving Skills are fine, Dirty Racing Skills are not and we are all friendly and willing to help others.
If you decide to check us out we welcome you and if you do your own thing that’s cool too. Let’s keep Forza Fun!

I hope this helps, it did for me. Im not all that good but I do have fun. Try not to focus on what other drivers are doing, you cant control them but you can control what you do. Stay focused on what you are doing and the track. If you did well in a turn remember it and repeat it. If the car gets away from you try something else. There are so many technical ways to break things down and they will come over time. 3 words that might help. CONCENTRATE, Keep your head in the game, if it does not work move on, if it does work REMEMBER IT. SMOOTH, try to be as smooth as possible start slow and increase speed as your confidence grows, don’t be afraid to make a mistake we all do it, even the best mess up. Just use your mic and say sorry most are good with that. Lastly PRACTICE A LOT… Do not give up it will come. I say all this purely as a starting point. The real technical stuff, weight shift, under and over steer and so many other things are important but what I have shared here is what got me started… I hope this has been helpful.
