I was aware of that! Thanks for the heads up, but still it is frustating when you not complete the Southern US Tour because 1 car does not have headlights, there’s no way to complete this mission, and you can’t see wich races you have to race if it’s in daylight, rain or nighttime!
I had the exact same problem a couple of nights ago - same car, same race. It can be done, though - if you switch on the “full racing line” assist for that race, then there’s a nice blue line all the way round the track. It still isn’t straightforward, as it’s all too easy to wonder off the track, but I managed to win the race like that.
I’m not in front of my XBox so I’m going off the top of my head. Bear with me.
Exit out of career. When you go back into career it’ll show you the next race as well as the car you’re in. Instead of pressing A to load the race with the current car, choose the Change Car option (It’s either Y or X) and pick a different car with headlights for that race.
When you complete a career race and place 3rd or better, the next race in the schedule is displayed in the lower right-hand side of the screen. I can’t remember if they show the sun, rain or night icons but the screenshot will let you know if you’re racing during the day, at night or in the wet. If you need to change cars, exit the race instead of going to the next race. When you enter back into career you can switch cars before loading the next race.
Same thing happened to me last night. It was a bit frustrating at first, but I got through it by turning the full driving line on. They also have you race Le Mans at night in the “redline showdown” series before that.
I guess I should be thankful I didn’t choose to run the Formula E cars for those two series.
