Racing against my own ghost

Is it possible to race against my own ghost someware in the game?

I would assume you could do this in Rivals. (select the leaderboard before entering race - sort to near me - select you GT, the select race your ghost (not sure of the wording) then enter the rival event.

Select your name in a Rivals leaderboard; you’ll race against it until you beat your laptime.

In Free Race mode if you remove the Drivatars and select a large number of laps you will see your ghost appear on the second lap. Once you beat it your new ghost will not appear until two laps after that (an so on)… Additionally, the ghost will save for that track for whenever you come back.
