Race Tires - optimal operating temp, and also grip change in rain

Any observational evidence of the optimal tire temp for Race tires?

My experience with Street and Sport tires is they like to be around 175 to have best grip, but wonder if it’s the same for racing tires.

Does the rain affect racing slicks more than the other types of tires which presumably have tread that would help in the rain? is more grip lost, or is it a global loss of grip that affects all tires the same.

Race tires like to be around 210 for optimum grip but it’s not always easily controlled. I’ve always gone more on the pressure than temp, with 32 psi at race temp seeming to be the best.

As for rain, I believe rain tires are supposed to be automatically on in wet weather.

Rain Tires on the car may be True for the Mod “Racing in Rain”
The Rain Racing Mod is hard to get though.
I usually find it in the 39,000 CR MOD.

For my driving, I always set front&rear tire pressures at 28.5, which gives me 32 PSI and between 205-210 temps. Which is the optimal PSI and tire heat.

As stated above, it’s really hard to control your tire temps, so I also recommend just focusing on PSI
