Hey and welcome to my newly established Gallery. Just a little background, FM6 is my first in the franchise, and I must say I am enjoying it a great deal. I have mainly only tuned, so far, and am now venturing into the world of painting. Thanks for stopping by and as always feedback is appreciated.

Yea I am going to add a little more as I progress. Just starting out easy lol and getting a feel for painting physics.
It looks good… just because it’s not loaded down with decals doesn’t mean that it isn’t a good design. Having decals made… having a pool of decals to choose from gives you a lot more freedom to make different designs. Focus on making a good stack of decals.
If you’re wanting to make designs for a specific race series then browse any number of websites that has pictures of those race cars. Look at the decals they use… notice the design styles of the cars themselves. Try replicating one of those cars… specifically an easier design to start out with.
Additionally, you can download & utilize decals & vinyls that others have already shared & use them to trace over top of. Obvioulsy everything is harder at the beginning because you don’t have much experience know what shapes to use, how to manipulate shapes different ways, etc… You may find that the decal you are tracing over was done with a lot less shapes than you had to use… that is normal at the beginning. I had to use many more layers when I 1st started because I was unfamiliar with how to manipulate the shapes via size, spin, & skew. As you gain experience you will use less layers to accomplish your final product.
I utilize Bing & Google images to browse for different ideas, examples, & inspiration for designs. I have a few NASCAR specific sites that cover the different era’s of NASCAR since that is the main thing I design.
When it boils right down to it… log plenty of time in the paint booth & “create vinyl group” area because time creating is the best teacher. Don’t be afraid to post your designs here either & ask for CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM… that’s how I got better. Don’t take anything personal… just as long as the person is being respectful… they are only trying to help!
As always, if you got any questions… I’ll help to the best of my ability & skill set.
