Hey guys, sharing my fourth paint. This is one my dad commissioned me to do for him (as he has little patience to do paints of his own) since this is his current favorite car to race with in S Class and he was tired of it looking ‘boring’. Overall it was fairly simple to do and I finished it rather quickly, the only hiccup oddly enough being the birds, I still haven’t quite gotten down shape manipulation to get more organic-looking designs but I think I’m getting there. I also took a couple of creative liberties with a couple of the sponsor logos located on the bottom as I thought the originals would have been too small to really get good detail. Overall I’m happy with how it looks, and my dad loves it so that’s really all that matters.

Thanks! I worked on it for 2 days when I had some time after work to do it. The logos and cloud patterns took me about 3 hours to do and the birds I worked on the next day took me about 2 hours. Overall it was challenging because the design was asymmetrical so I couldn’t just copy and past one side to the other to save time, and each of the birds were different, but since most of the design used basic solid primitives it could have taken a whole lot longer to do.

Beat me to this one mate, your replica is looking great and thats another one I can scratch off of my list. I can’t wait to see more and judging by what you have so far it’s gonna be good. Glad to see another fan of the retro stuff as well, welcome to the forum and I can’t wait to see whats next.
