I thought i would bring a little R1 action to the forum with a couple of challenges . There are two times to beat . The first is The Ring A P2P with a time of 1:33:350 using the R1 class Toyota and using the same car and tune , the other challenge is to beat a time of 54:723 round Positano Full . There is a replay of the Ring A P2P for verification of time on my SF and the Positano time is a PB on the LB’s . There is no paint to use , just the same tune available on my SF for free now . The prize is 5 M to anyone who beats either of my times . No time limit either ( well at least until my funds run out , which will be quite a while ) . So , have fun and give R1 class a try if you havent done so b4 !!!
Gave Nurburgring Stage A a whirl bud. First, let me say, Christ you were fast on this one. I BARELY got you, 7 thousands of a second, 1:33.343. Fun challenge. Now I shall give Positano a whirl.
Oh and replay is in my storefront titled “R1 Challenge”
Positano 0:54.098 on lap 6. Replay in my storefront titled “R1 Challenge Po”.
Nice tune bud.
I took one flying run on each course.
Nurburgring Stage A: 1:32.309 (I already have a 1:27.487 in a C 9)
Positano: 00:50.216 (I have a 00:50.061 in the C 9, I know I can beat it with this!)
The tune is a little understeery for me on the throttle, but it turns in great! For Stage A, I suggest using the higher power build (737 HP) and taking off some downforce. Also, if you look at the power in the telemetry, the power band drops off a little early in the RPMs, so you can lengthen the gears (and maybe omit 6th) so short shifting can be employed effectively to stay on maximum power. Pretty impressed with the car overall! Good post.
Wayyyyyyyyyy to fast for me. Lol. Managed a 1:36.1 on stage A and 55.276 on positano. Both pb’s.
Nice tune, beat my Merc C9 time on stage A.
First off , thanx for taking the time to try out the challenges guys and well done on the times , even if you couldn’t beat mine . I had another go at Positano today as the time was quickly beaten , the new time to try and beat is 53:430 ( a new PB for me ) on the LB .
Bulin , cracking times mate . I often wonder where you guys ( uber fast drivers ) get the times from tbh !!! . Thanx again for the feedback on the tune . The gearing and power band tuning is a work in progress for me so i knew it wasn’t at its max performance . I need to have a look at tuning threads on here to try and get some tips on how to fine tune the gears tbh .
I ran Positano again, got a 49.8XX. Can’t remember the exact time, but it landed me 19th.
A top 20 time !!! - nice one mate . It must be the top Toyota on the LB , im pretty sure that the rest of the top 100 are either the Sauber or the Mazda 787 .
It’s the fastest Toyota for sure. The exact time is a 00:49.813, and there’s always more to get on a lucky lap on this track. The ARX-01b is the best car here in my opinion, even though more people have gone with the 787B. Dazler is #1 on the forward layout with the ARX, and I made one that’s currently 4th on reverse with #1 messed up from smacking a wall about 5 times now. If you want to try it I’ll share it!
I havent tried the ARX yet in the game , would you mind putting the tune up on your SF and i will give it a try , thanx .
I had a go at tuning one of the Accura’s you mentioned Bulin and was able to get a 52:7xx @ Positano , The superior handling sure pays for that course . I also had another go at fine tuning the original tune for the Toyota . I downgraded the engine update which released better upgrades for the handling aspect of the car . The new tune is now better suited to Positano than prior . I tweaked the suspension and gearing and was able to knock . 6 off my PB but just couldnt keep it clean . Im preety sure i can get into the 52’s with it though .
