Question: Game Garage loyalty ? How does that work?

I fired up forza 3 last night to buy a bunch of cars.
I checked my forza 3 points on the rewards page this morning.
It updated over night and shows I still need 18 cars to buy tonight.
My days played also updated.

I don’t use the cloud save option on the 360 as stated in a previous post.

I went to go check it all out and “There was an error loading your data”

So now I can’t even check it at all.

Was doing that last night, still is apparently…
My overall points has updated even though you can’t open the overall or friends links. I can see this through the redeem rewards link ( center). I was at like 1250ish to next level, only 875 now.

Viewing friends is hit or miss, sometimes it works and most times it doesn’t.
When its not working with IE try Chrome or Firefox.

For the record, Forza knows things about your gamesaves and profile.

What exactly it might know and how it comes to know what it knows is really not a suitable topic of public discussion.

yeah, legalities, and EULA’s and all sorts of ugly stuff involved there.

If you want to know exactly how many cars are in your garage in current or previous Forza games, you can already do that easily. Go to rewards.forzamotorsport.net and look up FRIENDS COMPARE, then click on the tab of the game you want to know about. Then select CARS OWNED under that. On the right, you’ll see the total # of cars the game servers know you have owned in that game. This would not have required a cloud save on 360 titles, but would have required that you were connected to Xbox Live in order for that data to have been saved on the game servers.

NOTE: Forza 3 is not currently showing in those tabs, but FM4 and Horizon (on 360) are, as are FM5 and Horizon 2 (Xb1 only.) The FORZA HUB rewards summaries don’t currently show this level of detail, but you can view it on the website.

Thanks for this Jonk! Greatly Appreciated!

(EDIT: Though I will have to wait for the errors to clear up, it’s telling me ‘failed’ when I go into friends compare right now. Not sure why, but I’ll try again later on)

I only use Firefox.

I cant see a total number of cars owned just maximum points scored ??

Found it. But not impressed got some work to do. :frowning:

Using IE still myself and that’s two it’s not working with…

Friends view ought to be fixed up now. I’ll be checking back in a bit later. One thing still outstanding is that the details for older titles are currently hidden on the top menu. I’m working on a fix for this and should have it out fairly soon. Will check back-in here when that’s fixed up.

Polecat, yes things are working on there now! Thank you for your attention to this thread and keeping us informed on what’s going on.

Looking forward to seeing where I am with the older titles!

So it’s pretty sweet, for those of us that have played through the generations of this game, that we can potentially start FM6 with this kind of money. It doesn’t really matter to some, but to painters/tuners I’m sure it’s a blessing. For us racers…25 mil is exactly 10% of what our bank currently sits at in FM5 most likely, but more is MOAR. That being said…couple questions I couldn’t readily find answers to.

1: Are the FM3 servers/etc still live? If I buy more cars in FM3 will it reflect still or has too much time passed for that?

2: Can we buy 200 Fiats or Civics and have it count towards our total? Or is it purely based on different models/variations?

  1. Yes, the Forza Motorsport 3 servers are still alive. Only the original and Forza Motorsport 2 servers have been dropped. You can continue with your progress at will.

  2. From what I remember, you can buy duplicates of the same car to count toward the garage total.

Is there any way to verify this? I’ve just had a quick look and it turns out I need to buy about 650 cars which would be a waste of time and CR if duplicates weren’t counted.

A possible implication in this regard is that there are only 211 cars available in the FH1 Auto Show (via Kudos Prime) - so in FH1 you’d need 89 duplicates to make up 300 cars.

As you point out, it would be impossible to have 300 in FH1 if duplicates don’t count, and they say you can get 5 mil from all five games, so that’s pretty much your confirmation.

However for some reason Forza Horizons car count doesn’t update anymore. I’m stuck at 155, even played a couple of hours, bought some more cars, nothing changes.

Awesome thanks! Always the first to help…much appreciated

You’re welcome. Enjoy jumping back into that classic, even if just for a little bit.

I’m thankful I only need to buy more cars…but I don’t remember what my bank account looks like. It’ll be a rude awakening to the progress we’ve made if I have to get back on the track in FM3
