Not sure if anyone knows, but I love this car, I loved in FF15 and FH3, I used to drive all the time. But for the love if god, is there a way to put the roof back up?
I like the roof down and all, but I’d prefer to drive it with the roof up…
Anyone know a way or if there’s a way to put it back up? I mean it’s up the the autoshow… why does it just magically go down when you’re driving it?

If it is an option, the only place it will show is either as a body kit or perhaps in the body panel options. It is a gorgeous roofup car.

Having the roof down has like, low-key ruined this car for me now. Why did they have to go and do that.
The Type-D one looks even worse to me with the roof down. It looks straight out of Mad Max and I tried to find a paint for it that had an apocalypse feel, but the whole thing is just ruined by the lack of a roof.
Yes roof up please. In forzavista you can manipulate the roof, I assume this is the same thing they did with the Mclaren spider.
Its both sad and dissapointing, since i read somewhere that regalia was supposed to have unique roof mechanic. But this isn´t just regaila. Devs should implement manual roof control (its just one button), or at least automatic system that would react to weather. It looks stupid when you have to turn wipers on while interior gets flooded. Id prefer manual, since it would make convertibles more fun to drive.
It is a very awesome roof. Assuredly it is a bug and will be fixed SOON ™. As for actuation outside… Wonder how liveries work to convertible animations since never checked that out in forzavista. But definitely would be nice to roof up in rain.
Everyone complained when the Mclaren 650S Spider had it’s roof up by default, so PG/T10 fixed it. Now you guys are complaining that you want a roof up instead of down. Fair enough, because this just highlights the overall problem with convertibles in the game. Right now, we have at least 4 cars in FH4 that have roof animation in Forzavista. Two of them (the Regalia and McLaren) are roof DOWN by default, while the BMW Z4 sdrive and Ferrari California T are roof UP by default. This makes me wonder why there is no consistency with these cars. Every time the convertible roof issue gets brought up, many people have asked for a way to open and close the roof with a button while driving, but that isn’t likely to happen in FH4 because it requires all new coding that doesn’t currently exist.
My solution has always been to have the roof either open or closed via the upgrade garage, just like we can already do with the top/shell on the Holden Sandman van, Ford Bronco, and International Scout. Personally, I believe that ALL cars designated as convertibles/roadsters/spiders should be top down by default if we aren’t going to get an option to open/close them at will.
The reason that people complained about the 650S Spider is that it was paid DLC that was almost identical to the normal 650S. So by putting the roof down it at least made it different.
The rest of your post makes too much sense, so PG will never add it.

Why not gift the FH3 hard top version of the Quartz Regalia to all players?
That would make the soft top/Type D rarer and everyone would get the ported over version.
Better still put it in the Forzathon Shop at around 700 wotsits or so then that you could buy it!

The Regalia is a four door hard top convertible by default. So the hard top is the convertible. There is no ragtop anywhere. Not even in Final Fantasy. The Regalia was from a time before a great war. It is essentially a dusenberg of that story world. The B pillar retracts into the rear door when roof goes down. It is a very detailed design in the game.
That is why the grr. When you are in the autoshow, race finish and other things, it shows roof up, but for driving around, liveries, etc, it is locked roof down.
Not sure, but maybe forzavista allows us to toggle at least there like doors, etc?
I do not know about FF games but in FH3 the Quartz Regalia has a hard top, i.e. roof up position. while you drive it around Australia. It is shown like that when you use the outside of the car driving camera/mode.
Therefore, port it over to FH4 and make it available in the game. Not behind a wall of high ability but a Gift/Forzashop would seem sensible to me then the collectors would have the 3 car set!

I hope PG changes this… Obviously I’m not the only one who thinks it was a stupid idea to have this magnificent car’s roof down constantly.
It DOES work in Forza Vista, when you stand next to the car, highlight the roof and you can put the roof down or up…
Sure you “CAN” open and close the roof Forza Vista but it has no impact when you drive the car then the it’s always down.
When I finish a race in the Regalia D, it rolls over the line with the roof up and it looks awesome. I just want control over convertible tops and windows… I’ve been waiting for that in a Forza game since Test Drive Unlimited 2 lol.
How do you unlock the Type D?
