Qualifying series

hello guys,

I am the new player of Forza 6, and after i installed the game , it started with qualifying series … and they have objective of - win the race between 1 to 3, and if i come any later than 3rd they are just giving me option of restart the race , i can’t choose anything else and can’t select another series or free play.

Please guide me.

You’ll need to finish in the top 3 to continue. Try changing the Drivatar setting to the lowest difficulty to help you win.

Most annoying feature on forza 6. Really hard if you run no assist as you can’t change the assist till after the races. I have had to do this twice now as well grrrr

Yes, VERY. Annoying that you have to finish on the podium, like in real races, terribly annoying…

Seriously. Ppl ask for a game that’s at least a little more realistic, yes, I know Forza Motorsports NOT a SIM, but it does at least try and ad some level of reality.

To the OP. Work your way through each series, once you’ve won the first 30% in each of the different Levels, go back and start working through the rest so you get the whole 100% in each area.

The last two will prove the most difficult mate, as you’re racing P Class cars which can be very unforgiving.

Don’t be discouraged by some comments. Do you own thing and just enjoy the game. To break the ‘grind’ up, jump into the various Showcases, especially the Enduro races, as they’ll give you a great experience of racing longer races, working out pitstop said that help you secure top places.

Plus they’ll boost up your Driver Levels, especially if you use your Mods Carss, if you want to build up your Tier level, just buy a few tokens, and you’ll get the rewards in the total game points levelling up.

You font have to get a lot of them. In fact, I think you get 100 free to begin with?!

Ultimately, just allow yourself to progress through it, work at taking at least 3rd place, like a racer would at least try for in real life. It’s not meant to spoon feed you rewards for just playing the game.

You do have to,work at it, hence the podium finish required. Keep at it, enjoy, have fun, and above all, practise, practise, and yes, practise some more, cranking up the Drivatar level to Pro and then ultimately Unbeatable.

If all that bores you, then set something up just for you. Go into Free Play, set a 20, 30, 50 lap per in any of the classes and again, just practise those corner approaches, racing lines, use the Brake Corners Only race line as a very rough guide only. It’s also a godsend in the rein and at night on Spa, And other night circuits that have no outer course lighting.

Additionally, I ALWAYS play in cockpit mode, the cars less twitchy in that mode, but it’s a great deal more realistic.

After several races, you’ll feel right at home sitting in the hot seat mate as you bore down Conrod Straight at Bathurst Australia.

Enjoy, enjoy and …oh yeah, practise.

Clearly like most of the people on here you have completely missed the point. So I will explain in detail just for you.

The first race is annoying as you can’t change any assist and are forced to race with every assit. Does that sound realistic?

Second race you can take the assists off but you can’t change the clutch to a. Thats annoying as well.

The fact you don’t get a choice in these races is annoying and unrealistic

I think you might have also missed the entire issue mate.

The initial few games, including the very first one are aimed at the casual single player gamer out there that knows absolutely NOTHING about the series, or the type of semi-sim it try’s to emulate.

It does this to win over those ppl. They are the ones that won’t even think of being super tuff and that they khave to turn off ALL assists in order to prove that you’re such a TUFF SUPER racing driver in Forza Motorsports.

Yes yes, they are a terrible company, trying to make a game that suits EVERYONE, not just the elite number that love to jump right in from the word go with all assists off.

Silly us thinking that they don’t want to make money. They should just limit the game to the smaller percentage that make up the hardened racers online. That love to race leagues and do really well at it too I might ad.

Really top kudos for that, and I really mean that, not being sarcastic at all.

But in all honesty, the developer has to idiot-proof the game, especially at the onset. It’s why the demo doesn’t even offer any changes.

It assumes a great deal of purchasers will come from those thousands that have played the demo at the local gaming store, or Downloaded it to get a feel for it before buying.

If it started to offer options to turn things off and or on, ppl being ppl will no doubt turn them off. Then Lo and behold, that casual cautious driver will just baulk at the game, believing that it’s out of his grasp.

But a seasoned player knows that the first few races, or even just one, must be played at the idiot-proofed all assists on level, just in order to get past first base.

Once that’s done, he/she can go ape and do whatever they please. Never touch the Career Mode (because really racers hate career mode as it’s terrible, right- offers no challenges)?

Look Idiot-proofing up on google. It’s actually a term used in business that supply items yo the general public. From the peanuts you get on board the plan, yo items purchased at the local, hardware store.

You and I know you pull at the sides of a packet of chips to open them, everyone does, right.

Wrong, he seems the inclusion of… Yep, open on sides to eat’ dahhh.

Not every gamer comes to a new iteration as a veteran player, nor do they come with the inate skill set needed to race a semi-sim state the level needed to use no assists.

So let’s forgive the poor old developers for thinking of the masses, rather than the minority.

Yes, you’ll probably baulk at the minority comment, but truth is, based on studies done at major gaming store outlets globally, the majority of purchasers of racing games are minors (younguns), and more often than not, by their parents.

They account for the highest return within 7-10 day period as well. They are not the much smaller, but more vocal, more dedicated, more serious racers. Those ppl make up the smaller percentage of gamers.

They are the ones that play iteration after iteration, yet expect the developers to make the game to suit them, not the mass market that represents the bulk of purchases.

While we all hate that approach, myself included, I have to come to terms with the fact a balance has to be made somehow. Where the developer can satisfy the needs of the mass market, try to capture the new upcoming market, and ideally retain the longer serving market share.

It’s not an easy choice, I certainly wouldn’t want to make it. But a developer must look after their primary source of income.

Do making the game kiddy-friendly from the get-go isn’t what you or I would like, and dumb it down to the basics at the start, I’m happy they allow us to at least make changes once one or two races have been completed.

The game also auto tests the player, then sets the difficulty level before opening the game up fully

Can you not see that they have a difficult situation to overcome. They first must encourage that new gamer to dig deeper and hit his back pocket for the readies to purchase the game (or smooch up to mums is or daddy) and get home and play it, then continue to play it.

That’s why great games like Assetso, iRace, PCars etc etc are not aimed at that market, they are aimed right at the very gamer they want onboard from the word go. Sure, there’ll be twits in there, that’ll be a given on ANY game on the net. But it certainly has the high end gamer in mind rather than just the casual gamer.

That’s NOT their target market, where Forza titles are.

However, having said that, there’s a huge wave happening within the Forza Franchise network. And that’s another story. Suffice to say that that’s why you, and hopefully me, will be heading come 2017.

I couldn’t get to the end of your post i haven’t got the time and I don’t belive the subject warrents such a testimonial it’s a simple thing try to keep it simple

At the end of the day pressing pause in the first race and turning the assist off is a basic functon that should of been there and would cater for everyone not just the noobs

Not being able to change the button configuraton in the second race Is a glitch that wasn’t thought out properly.

I’d of liked to complete the first few races at my full ability. The choice should of been there and I feel the game only considered the noobs in the first part of the game and they should of considered all of us. Just because a group of people are in the minority it dosnt mean there needs shouldn’t be catred for as much as everyone else

Yeah, I’d totally forgotten about all the forms of motorsport where you always start in 12th and can’t progress to the next race unless you get a podium.

Make it skippable, I don’t like how they force that on you.
