Private lobby limited to 12 players?

Hi there,

Just wondering if someone could help direct me to information about getting a 16 player private lobby race up and running.

To date the clan I am in have not been able to figure out how to get the full 16 players into a private lobby. When we have a full party of 16 players and create a private lobby in forza, we have an issue that occurs once we have 12 player in the lobby the game stops sending out lobby invites to the other 4 players in our party.

Is this really what is meant to happen? Are private game lobbies limited to 12 players? Is anyone else having this problem?

Help!

Dont know if its changed or not but I believe you need to start a party, Get 8 people into the party and then into the lobby. Someone then needs to split off after they are in the lobby and start a second party and get the remaining players into that party, then into the lobby.

Tried that. Didn’t work. And really it should just work without a whole bunch of fiddling around like that.

Has turn 10 even recognized that this is a problem? And are they going to fix it?

All games now use xbox live for the game invite/multiplayer systems. The problem is with Microsoft, not T10.

How do you know this? What other games are having this problem?

Why would it arbitrarily stop sending invites to people at 12 players? Surely that isn’t a limitation of the the overall xbox one system. It would send invites until there is no room left in the game, and therefore there must be an error in the code with Forza that makes the system think the game is full at 12. Rather than 16.

Maybe it is full at 12 (intentionally) for private lobbies? Has anyone actually achieved a higher number? I have seen the tip posted in here a few times but never anybody state that it has actually worked for them.

Dust is correct, you have to do it like he said with inviting into parties then inviting again.

Also, Xbox Live handles invites/lobbies now. Same on FIFA, Battlefield, Dead Rising, etc.

Yes I know that. But this problem doesn’t happen in those games. So is it actually a problem with the game or the lobby/invite system? Has Turn10 actually mentioned this anywhere?

The problem here is xbox parties are still 8 man. Not to be a boob but it’s pretty weak since it’s a new console.

Actually, parties are 32 players now. It is only limited to 8 in party chat. We can have 12 people in the same party get into the lobby just fine. Once there is 12 in the lobby though others stop getting the join party game option appear, and direct invites from the lobby to others to join the game won’t work either.

Another thought, will the March xboxlive update fix this problem? Since Turn10 is a Microsoft Studio developer you would think they should be privy to this information.

you will have to wait for the changelog for the march update.

You will get no answer to this question until such a point.

Well more than 12 fit anyhow. I don’t know what you’re doing wrong.

Thanks. Good to see it is actually possible. We’ll need to try it again in the next session and hopefully have better luck.

It might be NAT related problem. So I suggest to check everyone that they have NAT open state in network settings. This problem was in Forza 4 also, if someone had NAT stricted or moderate.
