My club and I have been running regular race nights in Forza Horizon 5 since launch.
It’s great fun, however a persistent issue/challenge with the game comes in organising races in general.
The the addition of “custom” Horizon Open searches helped streamline the process of us getting races together, but it’s not been without its issues.
One thing that would be very beneficial in this regard is a somewhat “private” Horizon Open event maker, if that makes sense.
In other words, insteadof searching for an available public lobby and hoping the game presents you with the class/type you matchmaked for, the game would instead create a new session exclusively for your convoy.
Additionally, something that would be nice to have alongside this is the option to choose classes and surface types that aren’t in the public selection pool.
For example, Horizon Open doesn’t support C or D Class matchmaking, nor does it support certain event types in higher classes.
Having a “private” equivalent with all of these options available would be useful for those of us that want to race a wider variety of cars in a championship setting, without relying on the cumbersome open world system the game currently has in place.
Alternatively, the Blueprint Championships system from Forza Horizon 4 would be a great addition.
