So what do you guys think of the way they have priced the cars in FM7?

Like for myself personally it’s just weird because some cars cost way too much, like the X6 M for example. It’s over 400k to buy, like for that price you could buy pretty much any GT3 spec’d car, a Nascar plus a touring car or whatever else you really wanted.
But the only reason it’s so expensive is because it’s dubbed as a ‘rare’ which personally doesn’t make any sense.

But I would like to see what other people think about the pricing system that FM7 has compared to the previous games because now it’s mostly based on the rarity of the vehicle’s tier rather than something that’s closer to a real world value.

I agree with both of you at the same time. I just unlocked the Teir 3 cars, and they are so expensive! $200k for a new Corvette Z06!? I have been playing for about 3 hours and only have about $450K total. I haven’t spent much money. I only received $100k from Turn 10 as loyalty for playing 6 past Forza games.

On the other hand, if I want to buy some rare old racecar, it usually isn’t over a few hundred thousand credits. Why is a Z06 nearly as expensive as one of the rarest cars in the world?

Wait until you get into Tier 4, some of the prices are blown out of proportion to such a stupid level.

Honestly I’ve just been cheap and bought the Tier 1-2 cars for most championships when possible because most of the time they are just as fast if not faster than the car that’s from Tier 4 but just has a stupid price tag from being in Tier 4

I think it stupid, the cars that are not race cars should be somewhat close to real life prices in my opinion. I;'m looking at a 1990 IROC-Z and it’s $78,000. Really? I can understand 30-40 but 78? and its still slow as hell.

As a side note you get upgrades with the cars and I haven’t seen a way to avoid that…it’s probably added into the price.

I think the scam here is that we will be limited by the points needed to go up the levels. No doubt to drive some kind of micro transaction eccommy.

435,000 CR for the Range Rover Sport SVR. Absolutely ridiculous, that is a supercar price range, the Range is only about $100,00 in real life.

The option to buy a car in stock setup is right there in the Buy Car menu:

The price shown for the car is the price including the parts regardless of whether you choose homologated setup or stock setup. Dan Greenawalt explained that prices are not related to real world auction prices during the debut livestream.

Cars can cost anything at all.

Cars cost what they do in real life because of real life constraints.

None of which exist in a video game.

They could be all the same price, after all you cant anything more with a C class car than you can with an R class, so why should you pay anymore?

The prices are just there to incentivise you to drive out of one group first before moving on to the higher performance “rarer” cars.

Yup, its stupid, but I think what they are doing is making the cost of the car proportional to the collector score.

Take the price of the car - we’ll say 310,000cr and divide by approx 553 will get you the collector score of 560.

That’s pretty much true for all the cars I’ve looked at. Looks like the higher you go, it might be closer to 556, and the lower you go perhaps a few values lower.
