So I have a question for drag racers:
What cars do you all like to use, and how do you tune them?
I have only been properly drag racing (rwd manual w/ clutch) for about 3 weeks now, and I’m just learning how to get the gear ratios right.
I was honestly just wondering from other tuners.

I prefer the typical cars that would be at a drag track or something you’d see running on the streets. Mostly muscle cars, some tuner cars. Not many exotics and as a personal preference, no AWD.
There are alot of different ways to build/tune drag cars in Forza. Everyone has their own little tweaks. The standard seems to be raising the suspension and using the “standard” drag tune. (I’ll throw a link up here for a post I made on drag tuning, may be helpful, may not be.)

Lately I have been playing around with doing things differently. I like the way cars look slammed to the ground which seems to be the more logical, real world way to do it. It is the Forza world and not the real world so alot of times, the two don’t mesh.
I’ve also been playing with real world gear ratios I have found on different website like Rossler Transmission, Tremec, Borg-Warner. Somebody once used the argument that when tuning gears, engineers that built the cars typically spend alot of time coming up with what ratios they use. So why not take advantage of that in the performance aftermarket parts? So far it seems to work. At the very least, it’s been fun trying out different setups for the different tracks. Street or strip.
I’m always happy to see folks diving into drag racing. Especially when they’re tuning and building their cars and running RWD! Hope to see you on the strip!
