I’ve pre order a few months ago the premium addons bundle (since I’m a gamepass member), now, about a week and half to launch only been able to pre install the game and both expansions, the rest of the packs still didn’t arrived yet. This is happening with you also?
Yep same here, i wondered if i did something wrong.
Someone else said to me that we should be able to download more close of the launch, but because is the first time that I buy the premium edition of any forza game before launch I didn’t know. The OP said that they appear to install in the same day.
Yeah Pre-installed Forza 5 and 2 expansions - I think the other stuff will be on launch day, but could be wrong.
Riddled with bugs and spotty servers, or playable but not everything expected. Gonna be awesome either way, right?
We literally have hours upon hours of combined gameplay footage from dev streams and pre-release footage which shows neither are the case lol. But go off.
Footage by whom, exactly? Have you played the initial release version yourself? Has anyone else here? Look, I sincerely doubt it’ll end up being the case. But dishing out that precious pre-order cash is always laughable to me when AAA games release as trash, which we’ve had more than a few instances of in the past year. Luckily I have all the PO guinea pigs to serve as bug reporters before I throw another wad of cash as a gamble.
If the game operates as shown in (certainly somewhat doctored) “pre-release”/“dev”/“gameplay” footage, awesome! Delivering the product as shown, just as developers and marketers should always do. And if not? Well… I guess it won’t be just me “going off”. We literally have hours of footage/streams but zero first-hand experience. Demo, sure. But not the product itself. 
Early access, pre-order, lmao.

If the chance of it coming out proper, as it should regardless, is reason enough for you to put forth that cash in advance, send me everything in your bank account(s). I may or may not double it in the next few hours and send it back. I’ll make a profit, but however much you get back is up to me. That’s parallel, literally the same gamble. If you’re comfortable with pre-ordering, go right ahead. I call it ignorance, but at least I’m not the one paying to test a game that may or may not be complete. Big-time companies have already shown they don’t need to deliver a proper product in which all features present at release work flawlessly at least 95% of the time. That is, so long as footage makes enough peoples’ mouths water.
Not trying to be facetious in this. I’ve been playing since FM2. Believe me, I’m well acquainted with the franchise. FM2, FM3, FM4, FH1, and even FH2 have remained pretty solid throughout their lifetime. FH4 was a pretty rocky start but has improved slightly over time. It still has plenty of game-specific issues. FM7 was littered with garbage microtransactions until the “oopsie” was corrected. Why should I expect any better at release for FH5? Microtransactions out of the question, even. They’re not my main focus in making those references in terms of FH5.
But anyway. You’ll enjoy it either way, I guess. I prefer to wait it out a while, sort of test the waters. Seeing is believing.
The pre-release is offline only by the way. I trust the servers will be OK.
I think you make a very good point! They finally charged my card today, so my preinstall was probably because I have game pass ultimate but I also bought the game itself. I’ll probably get rid of my GP since I’ll be playing this for the next couple years. No membership is needed to play online now right??
Which platform are you playing on?
If you are on XBox, you are still going to need Live Gold at a minimum if you want to play online (it’s only free to play online if it is a free to play game such as fortnite for example).
If on PC, then you won’t need LG
Ahhhhhh ha! So that was the caveat, has to be a free to play game. Guess I’ll just downgrade to Gold, minor adjustment.

This is probably a stupid question and I’m just showing my ignorance, but I assume this means purchasing from the Icelandic MS store? I’ve just checked the current exchange rate and it works out around £52 as stated. Is it guaranteed to work, buying from another store and installing on a UK console? There’s a statement about some games and apps not working in the UK if bought from a non-UK store. I’m still on the fence about buying this but a lower price would help me make a decision…
Yeah i purchased through the xbox Iceland page a while back when there was an offer on - £52 for the Full Premium edition is quite a saving on uk prices. Not sure its still that cheap though, but you said you had a look and it still is. I had no problems - Paid with visa and didnt have any additional charges.
