Why can’t they copy the sounds of real cars from other games too?
Another question is an American team like turn10 which does not place the pit entrance at the actual point of the track, but maintains that of the old Forza Motorsport saga.
Last thing, the tire noise should be reviewed, if I put racing tires on, they shouldn’t make this sound, but only with road or sports tires.
Copying licensed or original content from any source, whether random YouTube video or another game, without an agreement, would create a foolish level of risk for a company’s partnerships, contracts, and legal liability.
I do agree that they missed on the car sounds in this game and that nailing that can do a hell of a lot for immersion (ACC does it so well and it just makes the game so much better experience).
Forza MOTORSPORT, I thought, would focus on racing cars. But they’ve added so many other cars that it has made the game kind of directionless. Update 9 gives it some direction, but will they hold the course?
In my opinion they could not just change the all Forza style. It needs to have some normal road cars. It’s not a true simulator but close. It’s supposed to have fun on controller and steering wheel. They should yes record car sounds for realism and stand out from competitors, set a bar for perfection and be recognized as the KING for car models and car sounds.
Why is Forza the only game where the car oversteers?
And yet you showed promotional material that was “in game footage” then released playable dog muck
When you compare with other games, forza is far superior in almost every aspect
These kinds of comments aren’t even remotely constructive and it brings down actual discussion in a thread like this
No matter how accurate they may be
Accurate ≠ relevant
No one said it was
What exactly is your point then
Mostly to derail the conversation for my own amusement.
Wow. If that video doesn’t prove Forza has leading edge graphics versus pretty much anything else I don’t know what would!
And I don’t know why you’d simply compare the audio to other games rather than an actual onboard of the real car?!?! LMU does seem to get the closest anyway, but of allnthe car sounds so far in FM, this would have to ve the closest.
Assetto Corsa is 10 years old - and Kunos Simulazioni (makers of AC) reportedly has around 20 employees.
Le Mans Ultimate appears to be mostly just a remastered rFactor 2, which is 11 years old - and Studio 397 (makers of LMU) reportedly has around 20 employees.
One should certainly hope that an 8-month-old “built from the ground up” triple-A game like Forza Motorsport made by a studio owned by a 3-trillion-dollar parent company would be exponentially better than decade-old indie titles.
One would think but after the last 8 months I can say that my thinking has shifted a little.
3 Trillion means nothing to me because it’s all on paper so to say like Elon, then you factor in the invasive measures that Microsoft are doing on EVERY System that’s running their software, an example the Global Accounts Manager and the other sly collectors that will run underneath another running application, if it’s not one it’s the other and I watch it bounce between the Microsoft Text Input Application down to some Realtek Audio and everything Inbetween… another story someother thread
I was under the impression that Turn10 would drop another fantastic game… just last October but after seeing what Chris was saying about how quickly the A.I can lap a fictitious track all by itself I started to doubt EVERYTHING, then came the gameplay with him at the wheel around Kyalami and said to myself Oh Boy is this going to be interesting, the yellow tinge that was placed over everything to mask the stitches in the tracks plus a whole host of other things.
Then you get to… nah stuff it you know the rest
big companies only put in a lot of quantity without passion, therefore they put passion in the work they do, because if they don’t do it they close up shop very quickly.
Not even close to the truth…
That’s a strange way to put it but hey each idea to their own.
I’d put it down to does the driving experience feel good and if you tick that you can be guaranteed you have made a decent or half decent job of things, you got the sounds wrong yes, and that first decision has made FM8 get passed the feel test, sounds and others still have a long way to go.
From what the grapevine has said they (Turn10 as it currently is) had to throw everything away for whatever reasons, maybe that’s why they had to outsource and we are left with this beta
Who cares?
Maybe if I put It in the suggestion graveyard it’ll get some votes
