How do we make polls on these new forums?
You can’t. The “New Forums” are ill conceived and seemingly a step backward from even two generations back. Like FM5, it is a half finished product.
You should post a request for polls to be returned in the New Forums Wish List thread

Thanks. I am getting a vibe that you aren’t satisfied with Forza or the forums though. I personally like the new forums and Forza 5. A few things that they still need to add back in, much like Forza, but overall the new feel is better in both.
LOL. Yes I do think the forums are poorly implemented. The tiny font is silly. They should have, at the very least, allowed us to choose the font size we want. Also the ridiculous 500 pixel limit on pictures while 300 pixels of black space is left to the right of them, the inability to open external links in a new window and the removal of emoticons to name a few things. These are important and should have been considered in the planning stages. I would expect no less of professionals. There are lots of other more minor, yet obvious, flaws that should have been picked up in the testing stages as well.
Well sure, you can always go to an outside source for a poll. Not quite the same as having it built-in as it used to be. Will do in a pinch though

There weren’t that many good user created polls on the old forums any way.
That’s likely true. Still, they do serve a purpose and if people put up useless polls, they will just be ignored. No harm done.

This is not entirely true… I think they served a good purpose.

Those were fantastic, I always won.
You fail to mention that this was due to one main factor…
People fear the Dragnet. If they didn’t allow him to win in whatever respect the poll suits, he would probably have them either assassinated or “mysteriously removed”
