I thought it would be cool to make a poll to see which map players enjoy(ed) the most. I tried to include every map. Which one do you like best and why?
I may have forgotten something from FH1 and FH2. Please let me know if so and I’ll add it.
- Forza Horizon 1 Colorado
- Forza Horizon 2 Southern France and Northern Italy
- Forza Horizon 2 Storm Island
- Forza Horizon 3 Australia
- Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain
- Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels
- Forza Horizon 4 Great Britain
- Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island
- Forza Horizon 4 Lego Speed Champions
- Forza Horizon 5 Mexico
- Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels Park
- Forza Horizon 5 Sierra Nueva Rally Expansion

“Which Forza Horizon map do you enjoy the most and why is it Blizzard Mountain?”

Fortune Island for me. Excellent switchback featuring both an uphill and downhill race, several killer dirt and CC tracks, and my favourite road circuit ever in a horizon game: South Island Circuit.
Blizzard Mountain does rank up there for me though. Was always a prime example of why purpose built biomes were far superior to seasons. Winter in 4 was such a horrible compromise, meanwhile Blizzard Mountain could be properly brutal since you always had the option to escape back to Australia.

I think I have equal fondness for the AUS, BG and Lego maps. The Fortune Island and Mexico are nice but just slightly lower.
I voted FH2’s main map earlier today, perfect blend of modern + traditional and that coast road from Castelletto into Nice is still one of my favourite roads in the whole series.
I also think it has the best PG arenas as that is the last game I enjoyed them in, nice simple CC routes as well without the ridiculous jumps some races in later titles have that the physics model often turns into a lottery (looking at you 2nd jump on El Descenso/Titan and final jump on Ribera Rocosa).
Felt the most cohesive to me as well, no unnecessary focus on biomes or condensing 4 countries into a map (and completely forgetting 2 of them in the process, is there actually any part of Wales or Northern Ireland in FH4’s map? I don’t think NI has anything at all and I can only remember the drift club guy for Wales).

FH4’s map is the worst of the 5. I hate that it gets so much praise. Really don’t understand why. FH2 main map is easily the best.
LEGO ahead of Blizzard and Fortune Island in this poll is a travesty.
Out of the three games I’ve played, I think I enjoyed Australia’s map the most, but Blizzard Mountain was by far the most fun I’ve had with the franchise. It’s a great concept realized almost perfectly. Even in FH4’s winter season I missed the crazy whiteout blizzards.

Presumably, because it was first for many (PC) players? At least for me it was. I see that FH3 was available too for PC, but I had never knew about it.
IMO that makes that poll a bit “inaccurate”. Cause there is a lot of people that haven’t played all of the games and will just vote for best for them. I’ve withdrew my vote.
My list goes:
1st - FH4 main - nostalgy, thousands of hours of fun, maybe beside street furnitures in Edinbugh
2nd/3rd - FH5 Sierra - too small, lack of circuits
2nd/3rd - FH4 FI - very good road layout, that cliff dirt road was just pure fun
4th - FH5 main - imo too flat + so much empty space, not enough main/backroads
5th - FH4 lego - just get rid of lego + boosters and it would be great map
…
99th - FH5 HW - just not my cup of tea

UK for me but closely followed by Australia.
In fact all have been pretty good. Mexico has really been the only one that has as many people have stated had something lacking.

If I could have voted for multiple it would have been:
FH2 - France/Italy
Its beautiful and the roads are some of the best in the series. I could vote this or Colorado as the best map depending on how I’m feeling that day.
FH1 - Colorado
Nothing has an atmosphere like the first game. Which roads are better between this and FH2 could be argued forever. They’re both amazingly enjoyable maps to drive on.
FH4 - Great Britain
The main game with the 3rd best driving roads in the series. It also has the upside of giving you a lot of variety from the seasons that none of the other games can deliver.
I don’t particularly enjoy any of the DLCs as much as any of the main maps except maybe Sierra Nueva and it’s just too small to put it on the same level. I heavily prefer maps with more technical or flowing roads over long straight highways. I like the challenge of different surfaces, conditions, angles, bumps, etc.
