The option of Penalty system overhaul - ie, firing the team that “developed” it, and hiring an actually competent AI dev team is not mentioned.

Why?

I was still editing the poll, you been a bit quick. Now it covers most things i think.

First of all: Create an actual career mode with lots of content and Fix or improve UI, menus, car livery editor, car upgrade editor.
Then: Improve AI (Drivatars), Fix performance and stability and Remove FOMO only add content not remove it!

But this game is missing so many features…
Im totally happy that i have an PS5 with GT7. It makes so much fun. Just the details in the menus. Its so awesome…

Can you make an option for first person spatial awareness?

I’m also fed up of the disadvantage of playing in cockpit or bonnet cam view. The markers are pointless and have been in use since the first motorsport title, no other game uses them on their own anymore, only this title because the devs are also incapable/incompetent enough to think that the markers on their own are sufficient, which also, coincidentally do not update their position between 3rd person (
chase cam) or 1st person (cockpit or hood/bonnet cam) - Meaning they give you an idea that somewhere within 20 meters of you, there is another car.

The Titanic had a better view of the iceberg than players in cockpit or bonnet cam have of their immediate surroundings.

I would, but after like 15-20 minutes after a poll has been created i can’t add anymore options. But i think there is a thread in the suggestion hub somewhere, where ppl already upvoted it iirc.

The list of selections size pretty much shows the poor state of this game. Each and every choice is a leading candidate in its own right. It just shows games shouldnt be released the way this game was, theres too many things to work on and theyre not just little tweaks either.

13 out of 13 selected, what a poll :joy:

So true, I race interior no wheel and most rides you only have a quarter of the mirror showing or none at all plus to get the game to run at any acceptable level I have the mirror quality set to low and for some bizarre reason Turn10 think when you want low quality mirrors that means they run at half the framerate the game is making them very janky and off putting.

This game ceases to amaze me on how bad it really is in the production department

FOMO is not going anywhere, it’s a gamepass game

I did the same.

Should include all of the above AND an option that is actually useful in reporting players.

I swear to god, I hope every single dev that thought the current report system is a good idea had better have some sort of illness to justify their decision making…

I agree with alot of the points (makes you realise how much is wrong with the game) but for me personally sound has to be improved as a priority.

You created the poll and I would think no less!

I would have added

Get rid of the need to see the starting grid and or the secondary starting grid to speed up getting into the gameplay

Fix the issue of when you are in the settings page and you pass over the graphics settings that it says “do you want to accept these changes” when no changes have been made

Add a “New old” track every month

Ban Rammers in MP… and I might start playing it

Make vehicles costs true to real life values

Add Zolder to the game

Add Drift

Start working on FM9

Absolutely. @JohnDoe9302 I am glad you have included the options for improving car sounds and recording car sounds IRL. All in all the poll covers everything. Thank you for taking your time to create this.

Can’t “focus” on everything - that’s the opposite of “focus.” :mag:

While they’re all legitimately significant issues that deserve & need lots of attention, it might have been more telling if the poll options were limited to selecting only 3 (instead of being able to select them all) so it would indicate what’s most important to poll responders - which is why I selected only my personal top 3 priorities:

Fix performance and stability

I think reliable functional quality should always be the highest priority.
If something does not consistently work properly, it’s the literal definition of “broken” and not fit for purpose.
Players cannot make use of content, features, modes, graphics, audio, etc. when a game is highly dysfunctional, so that’s the foundation everything else is built on.

Fix or improve UI…

I think overall QoL greatly affects the player experience & player sentiment.
Navigating anything/everything in this game is just so annoyingly slow & clunky, as if the entire user experience was intentionally designed to constantly delay & obstruct players.
It’s ironic that this game won an award for its accessibility features accommodating the visually impaired while the game feels terribly inaccessible for the unimpaired.

Fix/improve penalties

It’s mayhem on the track (both in public multiplayer & against these janky AI/NPC drivers), and it can’t even be said that the current penalty system is “better than nothing” because if there was no penalty system at all, then at least innocent players would not wrongfully incur so many penalties.
The current penalty system often rewards bad sportsmanship and often punishes good sportsmanship, and as such cannot rightfully be titled “motorsport.”

…

The bare minimum for any software is to function properly & be user-friendly.
That’s a very simple standard & a very low bar.
A programming student would receive failing grades for submitting assignments that do not function.
A software development job interview candidate would be rejected for not being able to produce functional code.
It’s inexcusable that the standards for commercially-developed games are so much lower than the expectations for students & job-seekers in the field - and the fact that technical competence is a prerequisite for those doing the hands-on work suggests that the problem is mismanagement.

Being able to choose all 13 options, still shows what things are the most and least important things for the ppl.

Atm also not everybody clicked “Improve AI” only 59% of all voters did.

The game is one large construction site.

And it might forever remain so.

The problem is not even the foundation is solid but they already have built a building, a parking lot, added a garden etc. but the whole thing is not solid. There is the danger of a complete collapse.

They had 6 years to really build it from the ground up, but they somehow couldn’t do it.

You’re probably right.

Will be “interesting” to see how it’ll be monetised going forward, probably just car packs, but suppose anything can happen.
