When I start a race, occasionally the game will prompt me to change my difficulty from “Highly Skilled” to “Expert”. The problem is, I always press A the second the animation finishes, and never get a chance to see what difficulty it’s changing to, or react to the fact the difficulty is even changing.
After winning 5 events in a row it asks to increase difficulty to next level.
? You said HighSkilled>Expert so it shows you
Why you are pressing A there? The Dialog appears before ‘Start’… Cancel with B
But yeah they can remove this Dialog…
Well, I kinda just wanna start the race. So I tap A knowing that the cutscene is about to finish. Since it shows the prompt right after the cutscene, me tapping A makes it where I never get to see what the game is wanting to change. If it were after the start button, I could see what it’s doing
Really wish they would let us disable this notification like we could in the last Forza Motorsport title. It was highly annoying in FH4 and it continues to be in FH5, now with even worse drivatars.
IMO if the game is recommending to you to increase the difficulty level then do it. Work your way up to unbeatable and then claim the lucrative “elite driver” title.
If you accidentally click to change the difficulty, you still have a chance to change your difficulty settings back before you start the race. If you see that it downloaded new drivatars, just click the settings/difficulty tile and verify that the difficulty is what you want.
This recommendation isn’t really an issue. If you don’t want more of a challenge right then, either don’t click it or make sure it didn’t get changes. You can always just consider it an affirmation that you are improving and might be ready for more of a challenge.
I am aware of that, but I want to know if I am going higher or lower. I just want to read the notice, but my monke brain wants to race, so I always click it saying OKAY
I probably could, but half the time I’m just trying out a new car. Like I used a Quattro and find it was garbage (poor handling+grip), but a 22B dominates in the class below. I also am just doing it more casually, since I am just playing while I wait for Halo. Just can’t find the grind FH1 had in this game
Confirmed. I beat that Need For Speed Most Wanted BMW M3 GTR on Unbeatable in an Isetta, so I know I’m elite.
If the drivatars weren’t such horrible cheaters I’d be fine bumping up the difficulty. Losing to opponents who play by different rules is not something I find fun.
The recommendation always popping up is very annoying. It’s like being told I shouldn’t play the game how I want to, or like it is encouraging me to abuse the physics in order to ‘improve.’
