Playlist - Series 33 - Silent Cartographie Daily Forzathon incorrectly described

So some people have this showing to use an Audi but an American friend had use an electric vehicle so I used the Rivian and it worked so electric vehicle might be for everyone

This is what it says for me. Any electric vehicle.

Yeah obviously different for different people

It didn’t unlock for me using a BMW IX with an upgraded electric motor. I then tried a “stock” Jaguar I-Pace and it unlocked. So an “upgraded” electric motor “may not” unlock it.

Wow, not another incorrect description on a playlist event? Just like last week’s “drive a BMW” which turned out to be a KTM, but still didn’t pop for me, so maybe it was an AMG or some other combination of 3 letters. UFO?

Lack of editing and checking by PGG, plus of course no compensation for players affected by their incompetence.

I did upgrade the Jaguar I-Pace and completed it at the Barranco trailblazer, so i know that it works there, and on my version ( Swedish ) it said electric vehicle, hence why i used the I-Pace.
I play on Xbox One X, and completed it last night cet.

@CuriousGirl2591 What system you are playing on?

Maybe it is dependent on the FH5 version?

I could complete it like a charm in the Rimac Nevera. The description was correct as well. Playing on XSX.

I’m on a series X playing in the UK. Luckily I was online with a friend who’s said electric so I used the Rivian

@CuriousGirl2591 Sorry :grinning: :grinning: :grinning: for asking next my question: Are you playing with language English UK or English US?

I am playing on English US.

I’m assuming English UK but would have to check

This would be great!

Nevertheless I think this is the source of the problem. Just some days ago I wrote something about such issues.

I missed out on the Horizon Open Ready to Race reward last week because the playlist said I needed to use a BMW, when in fact the requirement was for a KTM - something I only learned after the season ended.

This week my playlist said I needed to use an Audi for the Silent Cartographer challenge, when in fact the requirement is an EV. After wasting half an hour playing in an Audi I looked it up online and saw the correct requirements.

It seems these wrong descriptions are happening for some players but not all of them, my language is set to English UK so maybe it is specific to this language?

Perhaps the developers could gift the reward song to players that missed out through no fault of their own? I know it’s just a song, but some of us are completionists that suffer from Horizon FOMO and others just really like music.

Hopefully this is something the developers are aware is happening and it won’t be an ongoing issue.

Strange. I’m also set to English UK but had correct descriptions.

I saw this issue mentioned in a Forza FB group, a guy complained and dozens of people roasted him for being wrong, posting their screenshots of the correct Playlist card, until he then posted a screenshot of his own showing the incorrect card.

It’s something that’s obviously not happening to everyone but it is a thing.

I’m using English UK and this happened to m e on both challenges on both Xbox, PC and Cloud so it is real but like many forza problems it seems to be a “happens for some but not all” kinda thing

An upgraded (but still in A class) Extreme E complete it with no issues for me but mine still said Audi

Forza can’t even be consistent with the errors

I see the same issue with UK English. I understand that translation errors happen, but I don’t quite understand how it happens in this case, between US and UK English, where the only difference is the spelling of specific words. How are car brand names are being transposed between two very slightly different dialects of English? If US English is the only one that’s reliable, then I’m more than happy to switch to US English.

Which system are you using?
