If you’re lucky and get put into a open games lobby where you’re waiting for an event to finish, just get the skill and quit, it registers as complete.
It didn’t help, I was just looking for a game Eliminator session and was doing driving techniques during it… They didn’t count me out

On your World Map, open the filter and clear all boxes except for Multiplayer Events near the bottom of the list. You will see the locations of those events on the map. Hide & Seek, Eliminator, Horizon Arcade, Horizon Tour, and Playground Games are all separate game modes. The Playground Game modes locations are identified by an orange shield with a skull-wearing-a-crown icon. You need to enter that game mode and then smash environmental items to get the Great Wreckage skill to complete that Forzathon challenge.
It may also be helpful just for translation to look at the 3rd week of the Festival Playlist and tab over to see the event “Gone Truckin’” - that’s a Playground Games event.
