I had a go at this rivals event last night. The Jeep Trackhawk is fixed spec, and shows on the leaderboard as having a PI of 793. The time I did was faster than I have ever done with an A class car around that track, so I was quite excited that this might be a really great A class XC car. So I tried a few different attempts to build and tune it for 800 PI, and it was terrible, several seconds slower than the rivals time I did. So I’m a bit confused, is the car in the rivals event some sort of spec that can’t be achieved with the car outside of rivals? There aren’t all that many options for upgrades, so I don’t see that it can have been poor build choices on my part.
I think it’s your tune, i did just quick 5 laps on rivals and another 5 laps using your blueprint and i was faster with A800 tune that isnt even fine tuned right yet.
Edit: i did bit more rivals and almost match your time, i then start fine tune A800 build and end up finally hitting 57,358 lap so sure it’s has to be your tune.
Thanks, I didn’t actually try altering any of the tuning parameters as it was handling fine, but thinking about it, it wasn’t jumping well off the ramps, so it’s possible tuning it could save a fair bit of time per jump by making it spring off the ramps better.
Yeah, fine tuning effects lot there and it take few try’s to find good setup and i still think there is potential left on my tune get even faster time.
I applied some basic suspension tuning and it was still terrible, so I’m still not sure where my build/tune is going so horribly wrong. I tried a downloaded tune and did 56.7, so I’m happy to just use that.
