Photomode help for newbie

OK… so I cannot seem to figure out how to change the camera position in photomode. (i want to rotate the camera around the car, as though i was walking around it.) So lets say I’m in a race replay, I pause and go into photomode at a spot where i want to take a picture… at that point, I can get the camera to pan left and right, (by turning the steering wheel) I can also get it to rotate the camera, using the d-pad on the wheel, and zoom (also with d-pad) but i cannot move the camera up or down (closer or farther from the ground) nor can i get the camera to rotate around the car.

is this possible? if so, can someone please let me know how?

From your post, i understood you are using a wheel for playing Forza, you might use your controller for the photomode…

Left joystick = move around
Right joystick = look up & down
D-pad = Zoom In&Out / Rotate 180 degree
LT = Go lower
RT = Go higher
LB = Headlight On/Off
X= Focus
A = Cant remember
B = Cant remember
Y = Cant remember

I’m pretty sure you’ll have to use a controller because you need a controller mapping for moving forward or backward.
