don’t cancel the sync, wait at least two hours

For your information, I changed the server from downloads from Steam.
i hav to chime a kudo for this warning and encouragement to wait it out!!
i went ‘back in time’ 13 levels on a recent sync cancel that was unprompted - autogenerative glitchish time loop. i gotta say, the lost data and content were frustrating to have to re -step but it was interesting at least…
the WORST is that my game files are corrupt, the game is glitchyier than ever and this is frustrating.
Please provide more information to help the Forza team’s investigation, such as platform, whether using quick resume, last activity before loading the game, how often this occurs, etc

This is still an incredibly frustrating problem. It’s been 27 minutes and nothing is happening.

Why does it take sometimes 10 mins for Horizon 5 to go past the ‘Syncing data for Forza Horizon 5’ screen ?
Closing and restarting the game doesn’t help.
The game isn’t installed on another console nor on PC so I have no as to why it just does it.
Have been playing since launch and only happens with this game so it ain’t a console problem.

Tropical storms/cloud in the sky/too hot/too cold (take your pick…)
Not uncommon. Plenty of posts previous regarding sync times being silly long. Thought there was an update on one of the game patches released but can’t be sure.

An update that didn’t do anything then ! Suspended the game, came back to it and yet again it’s syncing for ages.
Oh well, that’s gaming in 2023…
Well the last update did increase the save game file size. Sync times have to increase, no way to sync a larger file quicker (pied Piper compression algorithm maybe!)
