I recently updated my GPU and came back to the game on about 2/28/23. At the end of some races, the game will freeze right at the last second before the finish line with the audio still playing. Waiting does not fix this and I have to force the game to close. When reopening the game, the race will not be finished. If I complete the race again, it seems to finish fine. I have not had to redo a race twice. Some races do not do this though and I can complete several in a session without the issue arising.

I had this exact same thing happen while playing opens in a convoy. My game froze at the end of Jungle Descent and the sound of my car played on loop. I alt+f4ād and it kept playing the sound in the background, so I had to forcefully end the process in task manager.

Iām having the same issue and it really happens incredibly often The freezes donāt happen in freeroam only after finishing a race.
I tried to roll back to nVidia driver 528.49 to see if it would solve the problem since I used that driver all through series 17 but it didnāt help. I donāt think this is an issue with the drivers especially since OP uses an AMD GPU while Iām on 3060Ti.
Yep, intermittent crashing here as well. Steam version.
Consistent on Event Lab races created on the Goliath, 3 times in a row for me. Created another custom race at Orogrande, no issues with that one
The issue has been occurring for a long while, even on older nVidia drivers and prior to Rally Adventures release, but seems to occur more often now than before.
The freeze can occur just after crossing the finish line, right after selecting ācontinueā after the āFinished in xPositionā screen, during the XP, Accolades or Reward screens.
Same for me, forza freeze for some minutes after finishing a race. began happening after the last rally adventure download. Right now is happening during the seasonal trail. Pls find a fix, love the game and never happened before.
I thought this is sort of fixed since I didnāt really have problems for a couple weeks but unfortunately itās back and the occurence is really horrible now. Itās happening every 3-5 races now.
The Forza team needs GPU trace information to further investigate this issue. Please submit a ticket at Forza Support to provide your information there.
I really wanted to record this but unfortunately I get an error in command line that says ā221 was unexpected at this timeā and the log.cmd does not start.
After all this time and this freeze continues to happen. As I mentioned it happen as soon as a race is finished in trial and seasonal races, it freezes for 3 to 5 minutes and then it restores. Main issue is with the seasonal trial if happens at the end of the first or second race as you lose and have to begin again.

I didnāt wait that long to wait if the game resumes, i just kill it from Task Manager lol. I prefer to boot it again than wait tbh. Also the game is freezing in the middle of some races too randomly, but itās very rare and almost never happens.
Yeah, sometimes a really fast racer all of a sudden ends up last place and you donāt see anyone taking them out or that they crash, i also have seen some players car just disappear from the race, not the āin pause menuā thing, they are just gone lol.
