In career I cannot tell if I penalty till after looking at Leaderboard. Triangle is there in RIVALS. Did we lose this feature???

If you have mods equipped it won’t appear because the lap is always dirty.
I think it’s because of mods. Some mods cause an automatic dirty lap.
Read through the following discussion on Dirty Laps to see if it addresses the circumstances and modes in which the dirty lap indicator will or will not appear on screen while driving.

The “dirty lap” indicator does not show up beside your laptime in Career Mode; you will only see it in Test Drive, Rivals, Free Play and Multiplayer.
Your best bet for clean laps to set leaderboard times is to remove your mods and goto rivals. Races are too hard to get a clean lap anyway. Even just drafting or being drafted will cause a lap to be dirty. It is not necessarily a penalty but they will be disqualified as a clean lap for the leaderboards. So if you want to set clean laps and work on moving up the leader board go to rivals and work on them there.
Also, some mods (think dare) do not set dirty lap times anymore. This was communicated after the update it was implemented in. I do believe it was the last update.
We were never told what mods no longer dirty laps. It just said mods that do not enhance performance, but the ones I’ve used (e.g. xp boost mods), while allowing clean laps in the actual race, still resulted in dirty laps in the leaderboards.
I finished the all showcases achievement yesterday and I used +60% cr mod and +60% xp mod on my last endurance race. mye times did not get dirty unless I actually drive dirty. I sat a decent clean lap time as well at the last lap… so I think the mods are working fine since the last update 
So you didn’t have a clean lap on that track for that class prior, and the clean lap you did in the endurance race showed clean in the leaderboard? Any chance that was your fastest lap in the endurance race overall? I did a few clean laps in one of my endurance races (could tell because the best lap changed, but did not change again when I did faster dirty laps later) earlier on in the race and the time it posted to the leaderboard was dirty. I had three xp boost mods equipped.
Yes I did get a clean lap on the leaderboard with the car I were driving at the time. I also experience the same as you. dirty laps did not change the best time when passing finish line(without the triangle). but I got a really good time on the last lap. and this time is the one that showed on the leaderboard as a clean lap at the end of the race. don’t play career much though so I checked it at the end of the race because many has spoken here of the times still shows as dirty with no power improve mods . and mine didn’t…
