I’m seeing a penalty time stay on my screen during practice like it does in the race. Although all of my FRR messages in practice say “No Penalty”, I’ll still get these penalty values on screen. I don’t think they actually do anything, but they’re probably not supposed to be there, or just apply them to the current lap.
If you get a penalty for going off track during practice, the penalty display at the top of the screen, remains for the whole of the session.
I would think that the penalty only applies to the current lap and so the penalty marker should be cleared when the next lap starts.

strange penalty system. Why do you carry the training penalty over into the race? Why am I given E because of a penalty?
I’ve seen penalties being carried over from practice into the race in the Multiclass series too.
Given that unilaterally across Motorsport this is a thing I hope it stays.
I really don’t see a need to fix, but do fix penalties that are caused from wrong calculation.
Once that fixed why shouldn’t any penalties earnt in practice carry onto the race

I have a suggestion and that’s to remove timed penalties which carry on into the main race!
Or in my case it does.
Maybe keep it for contact offences but the idea of practice is to potentially give new cars/tunes a blast and push it to the limits which will lead to going off track and a bit of corner cutting here and there!
Which a timed penalty is given which carries into the race which is abit unfair as none of the lap times set in practice count for grid positions anyway!
