I see on the update notes they have added the ability to add a horn to the wheel for PC users, but Xbox One users even if we have the exact same wheel and have unused buttons got shafted. Not like I care to honk at people or the convoys ate that great, but it just seems really odd that they fixed it for half of the base, in fact probably much less than that. I would guess console users are 80% of who bought this game or more. These guys are so hard to understand sometimes.
I run both PC and XB1, I have a G920 and triple monitors on the PC.
If I am on XB1 I use my G920 currently as I have that set up to feel intuitive to me (and IRL I have a car that is praised for its excellent steering feel) even if the FFB is not as detailed as it could be.
I don’t use it on PC because I want to use the triple monitors but:
I only do cockpit view with the triples, but I cannot remove steering wheel and arm animations, which put me off.
I would use hood view as an alternative but then the mini map is on the extreme left corner of the left monitor and the tacho/Speedo is in the opposite extreme corner. I have to look out my windows to see these in essence.
Then we bring horns into it.
On PC, if I were to use my wheel, the H key on the keyboard can function as the horn. But as I have the triples and use the gamepad, I have access to the horn on the controller anyway.
On XB1, where I normally prefer to use my wheel, there is no work around at all, the second controller won’t allow for horn presses for some reason.
Oh well, still loving the game but things are quite inconsistent.
