Hello,
Bought the game last weekend on PC and I have no sound ingame except the intro’s.
Tried so far:
- Disabled all Playback devices except the one I’m actually using (Stereo output)
- Reinstalled Audio Drivers (UNI Xonar: UNi Xonar Drivers official page)
- Removed Audio Drivers and installed official ASUS drivers
- Disabled all Audio devices in “Device Manager” except the one I’m using
- Disconnected my 2nd monitor (which is a HDTV connected through HDMI, I don’t use this to play, I play games on my 120 Hz monitor)
- Double check menu settings, tried max audio for everything, not even a hint of sound
- Downloaded another UWP app (VLC Media Player) and sound works fine so it’s not a sound issue that affects UWP apps as a whole
- Tried Headphone output instead of Stereo on the soundcard
- Tried a “Reset” of Forza (it was an option in the Application Settings)
Set-up
- Core i7 5820K
- Game is running on a Samsung 840 Pro 512GB SSD
- ASUS X99 Deluxe Motherboard (has onboard Realtek Audio chip)
- ASUS Essence STX II (used for Playback only, rest disabled)
- Realtek Onboard Audio used for Microphone (input only, everything regarding playback is disabled)
- Geforce 1080GTX (ASUS STRIX version)
- I use the Stereo output on the ASUS Essence STX II with RCA connectors hooked up to an external amplifier and than there’s the headset
- Windows Version: Winver gives me “Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.165)” - Windows 10 Pro
Every single other application or game works fine, no audio issues what so ever. If this doesn’t get solved there’s no point in playing this game (it’s silly without audio) and I might as well ask for a refund.
