[PC]Logitech MOMO racing wheel still not working properly

Hi, since the demo my racing wheel isnt working properly on forza motorsport 7 even if it get automatically detected by the game. When I turn the wheel by 5 degree the ingame wheel moves for like 60 degrees. The problem has previously been reported on this thread when the beta went out but nothing came out of it.

Here’s the previous post talking about the issue: https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst103887_Logitech-Momo-Force-range-problem.aspx

I understand that this wheel is old and may not be the most common one, but it’s still a very good wheel and it would be fun if it would work on FM7. As to why I made a new post about this issue, it’s because I want to be sure that this issue will be seen and corrected by a developper.

Thanks you and enjoy your racing time!

Hi, I have exactly the same issue and I bought the game yesterday. It’s so sad because it was my only way to properly play the game since the steam controller is not working as well… D:

Hi, I have the same problem. But they won’t bother to fix it. Look at the time that has elapsed since it was first said in this forum.
The MOMO steering wheel works perfectly in Project Cars 1, Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, F1 2017, Dirt Rally, Dirt 4, WRC 7…
except in Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3, games from Turn 10 studio.
He doesn’t care about us because we are a small number of MOMO holders.
Too bad it’s a digital purchase, otherwise I would have already sold my copy of Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3 on the second hand market.
Of course I won’t buy any more Turn 10 games, no Motorsport or Horizon, and luckily,
Logitech manufactures durable steering wheels.

Hi. I’ve been testing the wheel with Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa in front of Forza Motorsport 7… and there’s no color.

In both Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa, same car and same circuit, the steering wheel (physical) turns smoothly and proportionally to the steering of the car’s wheels. In sharp turns, braking, you turn the steering wheel and the car enters the bend without skidding and without blocking the steering or understeering at the right speed.

In Forza Motorsport 7, in the same situation, same car and same circuit, the steering (physical) is not at all proportional or smooth, the steering of the car rotates almost completely, blocking the steering, causing skidding, understeering, being forced to brake long before entering the curve, and take it at a much lower speed if you do not want to go to the gravel. In this way you see how those in front of you move further and further away, and those behind you, every bend you take, come closer and closer to you. In 2-3 corners you get caught because of the problem of mismanagement by the programmers for the Logitech MOMO in the game.

Thanks for your help FirstPlatoLV, but everything’s still the same. It doesn’t matter if you change parameters such as sensitivity or linearity. Driving wheels with degrees of rotation (DOR) of 240 degrees do not work well in this game. And the lower the DOR, the worse it gets. For the Logitech MOMO Racing with a 240-degree DOR (unchangeable) it is impossible to enjoy this game.
As Blue028 said from Discord:
“unfortunately T10 removed the special low DOR input for wheels on the newer titles which had some speed sensitivity built in which was great for wheels with low DOR like this one”.
That’s where I think the key lies.
