[PC] In-game performance good but loading times and menu performance very bad (High quality preset)

PC:

i5 - 6600k @ 4GHz
16GB @ 2400
RX 480 8GB @ 1.38GHz
1680x1050 display

Basically, the game (demo) is stuttering constantly while in menus, choosing the event, etc.
When the even loads, which takes a lot, not that problematic tho, the track and everything, it’s at steady 60fps.

Does this happen when you lower your in-game video settings? Also, can you make sure all your drivers are fully updated?

Yes, I tried Very Low, Low, Recommended and Ultra, it’s the same at all presets. Noting again, I have no problems whatsoever once I get on the track racing. No lag, no freezes, nothing, at all graphics presets.

Also a thing worth noting, at Native Windows Resolution, the car names still appear off centered in event choosing screen.

EDIT:
My drivers are updated, version 17.9.1

Can you please send me a direct message so I can further investigate this for you. Also, the car names being off centered is a known issue that can be found on our Forza Motorsport 7 Demo FAQ & Known Issues post.

For everyone else that is also experiencing this. Please make sure you’re drivers are fully updated, you’ve rebooted your computer and you don’t have MSI Afterburner running when you launch the game. If you’re still having performance issues in the menu, please send me a direct message so I can further investigate.

I experience the exact same things, and its worth mentioning that this happens to me regardless of gpu (980 and 1080ti) its usually clocked arround 20% with no 100% spikes when stutter occurs

Same here, stutter and choppy in menus, but butter smooth when driving (bare 1-2 freezing during a race). Latest Nvidia drivers GTX 1060… no matter the preset!

I agree menu seems to be the biggest problem here, hardcore lags, freezes for me. Unplayable as I can’t even reach into the races except for the few times i got “through” the freezes and lagging.

So far for me this demo is 1/10 hopefully they fix this as it’s totally game breaking…
