Painting - Following 8.1 hotfix, blotchy colors with layered vinyls

Platform: xbox one s gamepass ultimate

Following update 8.1 hotfix.

Problem, blotchy colors.

@JetPartySalad ,

Car finish is blotchy where there is a base color of white prismacolor with overlays or vinyls set with opacity values. And other vinyls with no opacity.

The blotchy effect is most visible in the reflections on the rear quarter panel of the sample image.

I’ll vote even tho I haven’t tested it out yet, best get in early

I tried reproducing it on the Series X running on Performance mode but it doesn’t look splotchy like in the screenshot. Still dropped a vote though since clearly its a problem somewhere

It’s on mine (PC) but doesn’t look like hail damage, more like the paint has run

@Lens007888 , post an image here so @JetPartySalad , can see the specific issue on your system and forward it to the team.

Maybe in a couple of days, off to the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs

Just posting a better image of what’s going on with the prismacolor problem. It would sure be nice if there was at the very least, a check box up by the vote box so that support could check it of and let us know at least that they have acknowledged this thread and are taking action.

I’ve noticed it doesn’t happen on all cars, still it certainly is a pretty obvious issue.

I wonder why it’s not a know issue

That happens a lot… if they do that they admit there was something wrong.

I don’t mind if they just fix as much as they can in the month and only put some of it on patch notes.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a recent video of this in action?

Don’t know, maybe ask the person that said the constant crashing had been fixed and just go out and close this thread like the other one

What kind of devices have you noticed this on? (Xbox Series S, Series X, PC)
Have you noticed this happening of any specific cars?
