Paint Saver System

Bring something that we players can save our paints rather than manually inputting paint codes each time we want to paint other cars. A paint saved system where its available to all our cars so that if we want to save a paint and apply it on our other cars we can just apply it easily rather than inputting the paint codes each time

Yes!! please custom paint swatches

Yes! Very much needed.

On other cars? Do paint codes work that way? Iā€™ve always saved each side to its own layer group and pasted them to different cars.

That only works on vinyls not paint. Two different things.

As a painter I really hope hope this is done. A tab for personal swatches. Also vinyls should be able to do the same colors as paints.

While not exactly a set of custom paint swatches, there is a workaround for this thatā€™s pretty simple to use.

  1. Mix your custom paint color / two-tone / metallic / tinted chrome, etc. & apply it to your first car.

  2. Load your second car. Thereā€™s no need to remember the paint values from the first car. Instead, across the top of the paint window, youā€™ll see a tab with what looks like a stopwatch icon. Go to it. There are your most recently used standard and custom colors to choose from.

If you log out of the game and come back later, this list will get emptied. However, you can go back to the car you first used your custom paint on and re-apply that color to have it come up in the history list again. JUST DO NOT SAVE YOUR PAINTJOB ON THE FIRST CAR AGAIN. Doing so will treat it as an all-new design and take up valuable space in your catalog.

In the paint shop, you save a created paint job to a car. How about adding a ā€˜My Custom Coloursā€™ tab.

Currently you have the normal colours on the first tab, then the Hot Wheels and special colours (two tone, chrome, wood etc) on the second tab, & the recently used on a third.

What I want is a 4th tab where I can save paint colours I have created & they are there all the time. The recently used colours disappear when you close the game, my new tab would stay unless you delete them. Also have the option to name it, so I know that that shade of green is BMW Isle of Man Green.

This saves having to find the car with the colour on it you want, get in it, go to paint it to remember the paint code, then back to the car you want to paint and paint it.

It would be awesome to be able to save your own custom colours, and also to save your own custom photo settings. I think they should add a portrait mode to the game too instead of breaking my neck to get a portrait shot :joy:

Would be great to be able to save user made colours so they can easily be reused. Latest paint colours persist until game is quit. Would like to add or delete to or from palette.

Something that has frustrated me for the last 10 years is that Forza Horizon games do not let you save your custom colours in the paint shop. Every time that you boot up the game, you have to go through the annoying process of setting your custom colours again.

I typically have my favourite colourscheme that I use for almost all of my vehicles. I want to just be able to select my tuned colours from the menu, without having to waste time every session fiddling about fine-tuning them to my specifications. Thereā€™s no reason why we canā€™t have a tab on the colours menu specifically for saved colours. Even if itā€™s just six or ten or whatever. It would save a lot of time and frustration. Literally Microsoft Paint has had this feature since the early 90s! Cā€™mon, Playground Games, sort it out!

SUGGESTION:

  1. Ability to ā€œsaveā€ custom colours in the Paintshop menu, that are automatically available after booting the game.

I did a post for this last week. Pain having to create them each time, but I want to also be able to name them so you know what is what colour.

This has bugged me since at least Forza Motorsport 3. Itā€™s probably the thing that frustrates me most about playing Forza, especially in the early game when all youā€™re doing is building cars and changing the colours. Itā€™s just unnecessary work for the player, especially after youā€™ve had to do it 100+ times over

Iā€™m no game developer, but Iā€™m pretty sure that in this day and age they could easily add a feature to save a handful of custom colours, and load that data every time the game boots up?

We can save tunes & liveries, so why not paint colours.

Good suggestion!

Would be cool if we could name the saved colours too.

Great idea. Since we donā€™t have manufacturer colors in the game like GT offers, I would love to be able to recreate some of my favorite manufacturer colors to use in my cars and if possible share with other players.

For example Porscheā€™s Macadamia brown metallic is one of my all time fav colors. I would gladly spend hours trying to match it in the game and would love to name it ā€œmacadamia brownā€ so others can search for it and use it as well.

A better title like ā€œSave and share custom colorsā€, could help this suggestion more maybe? :upside_down_face:

This used to be a feature (MotorSport 5 or 6, I believe) & it was super useful! I honestly always use the same 10 or so metallic colors on every car, so it was super convenient to easily scroll through them all and see which one fit my new car the best!
