Other than turning off the music in the game and playing mine in the background, is there a way to play your own music?
If not, does Turn 10 read these forums?
Microsoft is gradually implementing a media player into the Xbox One. The beta is currently being testing and now features DLNA capabilities. Its release to all Xbox One owners is unknown at this point. Until then, you are stuck with what is on the disk or what you download from Xbox Music.
Turn 10 Studios has no immediate role in integrating this feature.

I have been using a combination of my over the ear headphones and iPod with ear buds. it works pretty well.
I have speakers in my room so what I do is turn the music off and play ny own. It works pretty well.
