I was wondering if anyone had a short straight to the point solution for loose off scenarios while putting the power down. What’s the best way to get the car have grip while throttling out?. Or a quick guide for what adjustments effect entry, center, and exit.
I don’t have a lot of time to play forza and I found myself doing more tuning then actually racing. Then I’d put the game down for a week or more and forget everything I learned from tuning my cars. So I downloaded the tune it yourself app. It’s pretty good. Gets me a good tune quick but a lot of the cars I tune with that app have loose off scenarios. Some worse than other. Some not at all. I usually try to fix it by softening the rear springs and/or lessening the diff lock but some cars it just doesn’t seem to help and by the time it does help make a difference it kills the performance of the tune.
If the creator of the app is out there I have a few suggestions for the app. AWD and FWD specific setups, the option to make track specific tunes or all around tunes, and more ability to fine tune the car. The over steer under steer slider is good, but 3 separate sliders for loose/tight in, center, and out would be amazing.
If the problem is oversteer when you put the power down, reducing the rear anti-roll bars is probably the most effective way to fix that.
Reducing the rear springs and reducing the acceleration on the differential will help as well.

I’m not the best tuner but one thing I’ve found is that people often have very large differences between accel and decel on their diff.
My understanding is that having too much of a difference can create a sort of break in traction when transitioning from decel to accel due to the sudden locking of the wheels, a break in traction in a rwd on corner exit can be hard to recover.
So yea, reducing the accel can and does help, but can be at the expense of rear drive power, so instead you could consider increasing the rear decel. By doing so, there is less chance of that wheel lock being sudden and makes throttle control a little easier, you dont lose out on exit drive power, the downside though is you may incur some off throttle over steer, this is usually manageable on corner entry but can make things tricky on fast sweeping turns that require you to lift the throttle as it can kick the back end suddenly.
I rarely run 0 decel, a lot of people do, but I’ve found it better to set it to 10 minimum, and will increase up to about 10-20 below my accel setting on cars that can handle it.
