Overall class leaderboards

Where are the overall class leaderboards? And why isn’t there a overall hardcore leaderboard? The class leaderboards was one of my favorite features from past Forza games. It’s a competitive online game so give us another field to battle on. Just my two cents. Other then that I’m enjoying the game immensely. If this has been discussed in another thread please lock this one.

I also thought the same thing. Don’t get me wrong though, the game is incredible.

The game is great. Just a handful of small things.

Yea, I’m not sure why that was forgotten. Doesn’t make much sense. I doubt this will change going forward.

I don’t think we are supposed to be competitive. The game doesn’t track wins/podiums either.

I didn’t even notice that. I don’t understand why. I miss the online stat tracking from Forza 2. I don’t understand the business decision behind removing a lot of that stuff. Is Turn 10 trying to be politically correct? Don’t want people’s feelings getting hurt because someone is faster in C class than they are? Don’t want people be intimidated by someone who has 1000 online race wins? I just don’t get it.

They left it out of Fm5 also. I don’t race on-line so the leader boards is what kept me busy in Fm4 for a long time. I played Fm5 for a few months and I was done with it. Nothing else to do. It’s going to be the same for me with Fm6.

I understand that. I didn’t play Forza 5 much myself. I understand that a lot of people don’t care about their LB times and those people won’t worry about it, but put them there for us that do.

This is just how things work in this generation of everyone wins. Almost surprising that games even have leaderboards. They don’t want people discouraged because they arent as good as others. It’s the mentality that is being taught now a days.

I don’t buy the “we’re not supposed to be competitive” reasoning. I mean, they have leaderboards for each ribbon. They have leaderboards for leagues. They have winners and losers in every race. Nobody at all has an issue with a video game being competitive.

It just seems like this is a feature that was left out, which is a shame because it’s an exceedingly easy feature to implement and something I spent many hours working on in FM4.

I think it’s just another example of a studio making just enough of a game to sell. As long as enough people buy it, they don’t really care if anyone actually plays it or care if the game has features that make people want to keep playing it long term. The hardcore fan base is probably more of headache for them than anything else. We remember all the awesome things the franchise has had at one time or another and are vocal about wanting to see them return. They would probably prefer it if we forget about all that great stuff that made the game better and made us want to keep playing it and built the community. The things we want require someone to do some work.

It’s a good game, but I see all the missing and overlooked things and virtually every statement made by Dan Greenawalt, as a giant middle finger to all us long time fans of the franchise.

It’s a shame really. It’s not just the big things that make a good video game. At least the game is pretty.
