OVER!

Kaz, you just outted yourself. I knew you went to and interacted with different communities, but will the higher ups at Sony appreciate your advice to a competitor?

:Edit. Most people probably don’t realize that I’m joking.

Back on topic. I hope the game gets a signifigant overhaul and claws its way out of the grave it seems to be in. But I do wonder if it would be too late. All I know, if they add a new track, it better be ā€œnewā€. Besides tracks, where are drifting and drag racing modes? We haven’t heard anything about their progress since C. Esaki asid they’ll be coming at a later date… When will it happen?

You want to know what blows me away the most about this installment… that Turn10 learned nothing about previous installments and what was implemented after the community begged for it, like the choice to make the single player campaign races longer to make some sort of connection with the car and to actually have a challenge, but No it wasn’t rolled over to this gaas title and that surprises me considering they want players to spend more time in the game for their targets.

Then MP, No player control over pretty much anything and then being placed at the will of what T10 decide, on top of that the ablity to add A.I into the lobby if it’s just a couple of friends wanting to battle it out.

Then let’s look at the vehicles and the paintshop and some others. Vehicles are ridiculously priced, where is the fun in that! Before I had to work for my credits, now it’s just pointless, and I bought the standard ed.

The Paintshop is Absolutely PATHETIC!. We are six months in and it’s hardly changed. So many disjointed aspects and the colours are just off… way off, it’s not my monitor, it’s the game.

So you decided to lose the Auction House, Please explain? Cause that was a game into itself. Lemme guess… you dropped it cause you completely screwed the prices of EVERY vehicle in the game. Did you not think Turn10 that some don’t actually race, they tune, paint and sell their rides. No, no you didn’t think of that for one second did ya T10 smh

The one and only reason that this 8th installment is being played is cause whichever department works on the physics got it right, right enough to make the game not completely tank like Project Cars 3

At the end of the day (whenever that was) you (T10) took advice from someone that had little idea about racing games and sold you this fantastic idea about how racing games could be like an RPG. I get it, but don’t you actually read posts here? Or do we have to start a general chat over in the suggestions hub to have a voice.

I think because videogames, like movies, are nowadays made by investors and executives rather by artists and enthusiasts.

Some of the things that the game (that female) says, like in the last Reward Showcase with the Porsche GT4RS, You can’t win the race on the first lap so…

Well there’s only one lap lady!, give us maybe 2 and we will take you up on your suggestions!

I cringe everytime I see a blue dot upon entering the game these days cause it’s either something so blatantly obvious or it’s next to useless

Are they just laughing at us?

90 million copies since the 90’s is still niche compared to other genres…

I think you maybe correct on that @LuculentPigeon8

Was trying my best to avoid what you have pointed out, I did everything I could but it was not enough… and now we have this, the situation where gaming developers feel that they have some sort of right to reinvent the game by losing the numerals and starting again… like it’s some sort of be all and end all, This is the all new Forza Motorsport!!!

Hope you like it

Accelerating makes you faster, better tyres give you more grip, the rain is wet.

Or the sky is blue if it’s sunny. Are a few i just made up. I wonder what kind of person creates these messages. It’s like they have educators from kindergardens giving them ideas.

I think the Mario Kart series, the Need for Speed series, & the Gran Turismo series (in that order) are the highest selling racing games by a large margin.
…It’s interesting that 2 of the top 3 are platform-specific.

1st AND 3rd most sold PS1 game.
2nd AND 3rd most sold PS2 game.
2nd most sold PS3 game.
5th most sold PS4 game.

By the end of this generation we can safely say GT7 will be among PS5s top. But yeah very niche, very uncommon :rofl:

90 million copies in more than 25 years. Check out the GTA V sale numbers, they sold 195 million copies of ONE game in 10 years.

Or Skyrim.

Or Need for Speed in 2009 they already sold 100 million copies with their franchise.

Because it’s a good game. Very replayable too.

Back in PS1, 2 and 3 era Gran Turismo was very very popular and under the best selling games, but that is not the case anymore. Now it is a niche product.

It’s great that you think Sony still produces PS1, 2 and 3 games to be sold until this day, but they don’t, GT1 was produced for less than 10 years as an example.

GTA 5 has been for sale for over 10 years also, so what you’re saying is every game which sells less than the top 2 most sold of all time, are niche :rofl:

Keep digging bro

Oddly, the official Turn 10 Studios YouTube channel seems to have just recently disappeared:

Yup. Cannot find any of the past Forza Monthly uploads.

I wonder whats up?

Same here, and if going by search engine DuckDuckGo all videos end in

  • uploader has closed account

Something strange is going on.

Simple search Forza Monthly usually display them by the row, and not to be seen anywhere.

Could it be this?

They dropped youtube as channel to communicate and want newsletter instead.

Introduced Jan 17th 2024, so seems plausible…no more youtube…

The only problem with that is, its a one way communication/stream of information. I can only access what they give me. I can’t look at past streams and events. The news letter is definitely not a replacement for a Youtube channel.

Most serious sim racers don’t play Forza, they check out new releases of Motorsport, put it down after a while essentially saying: ā€œIt’s not there yet,ā€ than continue playing more competent/serious sim racing titles. Motorsports has YET to tap that market in a significant way.
