Recent Format Reinstall of Win10 and all the latest drivers. (Clean System)
My Internet connection about 110/3 MBit (Fast by Australian Standards)
When I start a race and the track is Loading… I can sit on that screen for extremely long times, like well in excess of 5 minutes.
However I have had the odd occurrence where the track loaded within < 10 Seconds but that is very rare, most of the time it excruciatingly long.
Almost as bad as the Cassette loading I endured while waiting for Impossible Mission to load on my C64.
I have seen a few other people on this forum and on Reddit reporting similar problems, nearly always people with high end machines and loading off SSD’s
I even moved the install onto another SSD just to eliminate the drive being the source of the problem.
There has been some conjecture that this is related to Drivatar data or other Cloud based data but I tried a Freeplay with no AI on Bathurst and I sat there for over 5 minutes waiting.
Otherwise I am extremely happy with the game, I realize there are people struggling with more severe issues but this is dampening my enthusiasm to play.

My internet connection is over 300Mb/s - I see the same issues with long load times, sometimes in excess of 30 minutes, yet sometimes it’s less than 5 seconds. I’ve tested same cars on same track and there is no pattern to it. I’ve tried disabling some background services like iCloud, Dropbox, Adobe CC etc. sometimes this helps, but not always.
Like you, once up and running, it is beautiful and silky smooth. I recently got Project Cars 2 and haven’t played it since getting Forza7. But this issue is really frustrating.
Does it also happen in Windowed mode? when you are waiting during loading, could you try to press alt+tab / alt+enter / win+d … see if this makes any difference.
Do you have Windows 10 Game Mode enabled? If it is, try and disable all features of Game Mode. Worked for me. It cured both massive stuttering and load delays.
However, I just tried disabling my Internet connection after starting the game and guess what… the tracks loaded in under 20 seconds. So this seems to be related to the game not getting a response from the cloud servers.
WARNING: I did a race and when it finished I was not rewarded any currency even though it showed how much I had earned. The final balance was 0, which means all the money is stored on the servers, so don;t play without an internet connection.
This might explain some of the people who are saying they are not earning anything after races because the game can’t talk to the T10 servers or their connection dropped out.
I used to have this problem in Forza Horizon 3 where during loading i would be stuck at the loading symbol, and using 1 of these keys would “unfreeze” or “focus” the game back and it would continue to load.
i would not call that pc high end i have

I had it twice with the mouse-cursor, it was unresponsive in forza menu, after hitting the “windows” flag-key on keyboard (the one that opens your startmenu), the mouse worked again. maybe it does the same with loading times, idk.
Do you have more than one monitor/TV connected to GPU accidentally?
I had same problem with demo, it just can’t load booting forever.
As im using 3x Display Port monitors and 1x HDMI on my desk, to start FM7 i have to switch from that HDMI to any of DP monitors to start the game.
Looks like Forza has some problem with multimonitor setups. Hope that help
I’ve tried everything on this thread, I’ve don’t the selective startup and disabled every other non essential app. I read there’s an issue with 3 monitors so I disabled 2, I’ve rebooted and pulled the Ethernet. Nothing works, I’ve been sitting here for over an hour waiting for a race to load. This is insanity Turn 10.
I finally resolved this on my system. I disabled CPU 00 in the Affinity settings and it now loads quickly and consistently. Hope this helps some of you suffering the same long load times.
