Sometimes you just want to cruise around in the likes of the Lexus LFA, Porsche Carrera GT etc. and listen to the exhaust notes but with other drivers constantly screaming past or just driving near you it totally drowns out the sound of my car.

Audio mixing is a very complicated procedure, and we cannot guarantee we have the resources to allocate to such an insignificant part of the fantastic open world of Forza Horizon 5. We suggest you put on a pair of headphones or earbuds (preferably noise-cancelling) and mentally drown out what you don’t want to hear just as we do. If more information is needed, search the query phrase “selective hearing”. On Bing, of course. Definitely not Google. Bing is so much better, just like Forza Horizon 5 is than every previous Forza title.

Being able to adjust transmission and supercharger whine would be cool as well. I want them loud!

have you tried turning down other things in the game options and boosting the engine noise setting. then using your tv to amp up the volume of the sound you want to hear ?
