Opinions on the 2013 V8 Supercar?

Any opinions on the new DLC XBOX ONE V8 Supercar? I’m basically wondering whether the engine sound has changed to nearer like it is in real life, and whether there is any real difference compared to the 2011 V8 Supercars we already have. Thanks

They are completely different beasts.

For some reason I don’t care about engine sounds in games; although some publishers try to incorporate actual sounds, there is nothing more V8 than sitting on the hood of a genuine musclecar under full revs

The new one is slower than the old one and the new one bottoms out way too much even with max ride height and stiffer suspension.

Not sure about the sounds.

Wheres the Nissan, merc, volvo or the ford

Does anyone else think the new Holden is bugged?

Stock it runs max ride height but bottoms out.

Tuning it to stiffen the suspension only slightly alleviates the problem.

To me it seems like either there is an issue with some calculaitons behind the scene or it needs a few inches more ride height.

Exactly. Why don’t we have all the V8 Supercars in the game.

Wow I didn’t even know the V8 Supercar series had expanded. Goes to show how long it’s been since I saw a race.

YES! I mean, it’s great we finally got a new-generation V8 Supercar, but come on. We need to see these others ones as well.

That’s true, but there’s a lot of cars from lots of series that we don’t have.

Probably fanboying but I would absolutely die for a McLaughlin Volvo, already have is paint splattered on my Falcon and my new Commodore is running the James Courtney SPTOOLS 2014 scheme. Ugh, I want that Volvo.

To the point though, I think the new Commodore is wonderful, the point about it bottoming out too often is correct, however my fascination with these cars simply overwhelms its problems. Just my opinion as all, and I think we can all agree!

Merc’s and Audi get no love in Forza. It’s always been this way…

It feels like the front splitter is hitting the tarmac on Bathurst. When this happens it causes understeer for a brief moment and when the grip is restored it can cause oversteer if you have applied too much throttle. This is adding extra timing for me in the top section of Bathurst. I’m starting to take different lines to minimize hitting the splitter.

This car stock handles ok for the most part but it has a muted exhaust note. It is very quiet for a V8 Supercar.

Chasing the Stig is not going to be easy. I’m chasing you Eduardo. You are going pretty go so far. I hope we can get close to the stig but if Raceboy hasn’t done it yet, we may be in for a close to vertical uphill battle.

Good Luck Everyone.

I like it because I got it for 0 CR so I’m fine with it and it handles good too if they’d give us the whole VXR8 lineup and whole HSV lineup including the G8 GXP and Chevy SS.

Thanks all for replying, helpful information ;). I’ll spend so much time lapping it round Bathurst, just hope there are other 2013 or 2014 V8 Supercar liveries on the market. I’m personally stunned that the 2013 V8 wasn’t in FM5 at launch seeing as it was a huge real life advertisement for Xbox One.

when using cockpit view the sound is offset towards the left, anyone else notice this? This is the aussie V8 from the top gear pack

Do any of you know if by buying only the 2013 V8 Supercar, not the whole Top Gear Pack, you qualify for entry into the Stig’s digital cousin event, and qualify for the prizes? Thanks

thought the digital stig was VIP only but I could be wrong.

  • I think the new v8 supercar is awesome, it handles great. We need these autos to trickle in for series racing, staying with the 2011 for another year would just be too far behind the bar, so thanks turn 10.

Now about dem Nissan Merc N Volvo
